I'm Shannon, 28, and a first time Army wife. My husband, Lewis, is prior service who just re-enlisted after being out for approx. 8 years. We have five gorgeous children. And we all miss Daddy horribly!

He shipped last week to his training station and I've never been on such a roller coaster of emotions. Sad that he's gone, happy at the choices we've made, worried about him, but the one that stand out the most is the enormous amount of pride I have for him and what he does. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to that!

I'll keep this short and sweet. I'm looking forward to reading a lot in here and getting to know a few of you.

I'm Kelly, 21, and married to my soldier Joey. He's on his second deployment in Iraq right now though its finnnnally winding down after him bein gone a year (thank goodness). i work full time,live with the in-laws for now, and just patiently (or really impatiently) waiting on him to get his butt home to me.

I am kristi, 20 and finishing up nursing school here in Missouri. My fiance is stationed down at fort bliss. Hes coming home in less than a week for predeployment leave, then off to Iraq for a 15month deployment. I also run crosscountry and track for my university, and do Army ROTC, so after graduating, Ill be in teh army nursing corps!

Hi Girls!

First, to answer questions...

He got shipped to a Warrior Transition Course (boot camp for old people, lol). He's 38 and prior service, so they said it was a must do. He'll graduate that in a few weeks, then he's off to AIT for his training. Towards the end of the year we'll get orders to be stationed somewhere. For now, I'm staying right here and patiently waiting. I'm secretly praying for Fort Riley, 'cause its sooo close to my mommy, but don't tell Lew that.:nanypoo:

Yes, come for tacos!! Lew says I make the most awesomest enchiladas on the planet, lol. I need more people to cook for, dammit.

I've been peeking around a bit and you all and your men are so cute together! Wish I had more pics of Lew and I. For now, I settle for him as my desktop.:flyinangel:

im sherry 25, married to william 25, we have 3 handsome boys (5,3,6mo) we have been married for 6 years on april 19th! we have been in the army for 3.5 years, our first duty station was fort knox, where we spent 2 years and survived our first deployment, we are currently stationed at fort benning and awaiting the upcoming deployment coming this aug-oct time, well the site is very addicting, but the girls are awesome! i hope to get to know you soon!! big hugs and again welcome!

He just got back from his first tour in November, so, I, as well as all the other girls can relate to the emotional roller coaster that is known as "Deployment". She's a real Bitch! She's not really welcome here, but always seems to find her way in, somehow. I work for a law firm and have been here for almost 4 years. Glad you found the site! The women here are amazing! Welcome! I'm Meredith (23) married to my soldier, Mike (24). We're stationed at Ft Lewis, WA. We're slowly gearin up for another deployment. He doesn't leave for awhile yet. But like Christy said I'm sure we all understand the emotional rollercoaster you're on right now!! (That's why we're all here ;) ) AND it's the best thing about this place ...others who understand! For now I'm working at a local high school as an athletic trainer without the guts to tell my boss I'm not coming back lol.

Hi welcome! I'm Kela Marie, and my boyfriend Christopher is in the ARMY. He is stationed at Ft. Campbell KY and I like at home in NC unfortunately ... we do get to see each other fairly often though which is nice. He finished up his tour in Afghanistan back in early Jan.

He is actually looking to switch branches next april or so when his stint with the army is up, so we'll wait and see.

R&R is around the corner so I won't be on much right now but these girls will take care of you. :) No kiddos yet but hopefully soon.
