we finally settled on...

ADOPTING a puppy/dog when he comes home.
it was a struggle to convince him to adopt/rescue...d was all about getting one from a puppy farm or something. all three dogs i've ever had i have rescued so it was a big deal to me to rescue a dog from a shelter.

anyways, we've also settled on two names. he's a car/bike FREAK so you can see where we may have bumped heads on agreeing on names for dogs.

boy- duke [short for 'ducati']
girl- lex or lexi [short for 'lexus']

i think it's pretty cute. lol works for me even if the dog's named after some car or bike. lol

it's just funny because he's so obsessed with cars and well, i think the dogs' names aren't too recongnizable that they relate to cars. but hey. lol

see if you can convince him to adopt a dog? they have plenty that are already house broken and well behaved, you just have to find the one that fits you.

and adopting is so much better than just a brand new puppy. i mean they're great too, every dog needs a home. but rescuing makes it feel like you're doing something good, too. lol
