I saw Danie's question, which led me to ask one of my own...
For you married peoples out there...
How old were you and your hubbys when you got married...and do you think you were old enough?

We were both 21. I don't think age has anything to do with being ready, it's all about maturity level. Some people are ready at 16, and others at 40. For us, it was 21.

For the record, it was 3 days before my 22 birthday lol

i was 2 weeks short of being 20 and he was 21. i think we were ready. erins right its not really about age. weve been through alot and we made it so we thought it was the right thing to do.

I agree with what was said above... it's about maturity not age I was 19 and he was 22. I think we just rushed it entirely too much!

I was 22 and Mike was 24. I feel really young (23 now) but I agree with Erin it's about maturity level and I think between the things that Mike and I have been through we were certainly ready for it and have loved every minute of it so far!

we were both 19! and yeah we knew in our hearts it was time, everyone told us we were too young and would just end up another statistic of divorce, but we celebrate our 6th anniversary next year so we must be doing something right lol

and i agree with all above :) we've been through ALOT...alot together lol and i know if we can make it through what we've already been through,and finishing up this deployment-we can make it through anything thrown our way. :)

We were both 19 I'm a few months older.. I think it was meant to be, even tho it has been hard at times and now with deployment, but i believe it will just make us stronger..

I was 21, and Evan was 20. It was perfect timing and in a way, it forced us to grow up some. But in a good way.

I was 18 and he was 20. We started dating right when I turned 16 and I felt like I knew he was the one only after a month. People change A LOT just from 16 to 18 and we made it through everything. Like everyone else said - I don't think age matters. When you know, you just know!:heartbeat:

So we were a bit older than most of you ladies. I honestly didn't feel ready when we got engaged ( I was 21 ) but by the time I was 24 and almost had 2 kids there was no better time I guess.

I was 17 and he was 19 i think. We were young but i def think we made the right choice. We've been married for almost 5 yrs and dont see the end in sight so we're doing awesome. Plus school was awesome being married because i was my own guardian so could just leave school because i told them i was sick....oh the fun i had my senior yr!

Like all the other girls said, it's about maturity and doing it when you're both ready. Don't let other people influence you
I hear all the time that I'm too young to be getting married and good luck staying together

Just ignore people like that though, they're not worth your time

Well,I just turned 24,hubby will be 21 on the 30th..yeah I think we were old enough...LOL..he's a male version of me and I am a female version of him, so, everything works out perfectly..lol..we think alike,have the same personality,if something is wrong with him, i can feel it and vice versa..it's weird, but in a good way! I have a connection with him that I've never had with anybody and again,vice versa
