So I got offered a slot at BOTH of these schools this summer. I am really bummed I can't go to either. I understand school is my first and foremost important thing here. GRADUATING is the goal... to the Army I am NOTHING wihtout my nursing degree.

It is just pissing me off that EVERYONE in ROTC is telling me I am stupid. I realize these were 2 big HONORS to get, and the chance to go to them is awesome.. especially CFT at west point. I just don't know why eveyone is telling me I am burning bridges by turning down the chance to go to these schools... sorry to me graduating is more important...

Was a crazy... or are people in ROTC just crazy... I understand its a honor to get to go, and I would love to go, but shouldn't graduating on time with GOOD grades be put before special schools? No matter how prestigeous these schools are?

Wow Kristi, I don't even know what to say. Just pick the option that is best for you and screw everyone else.

That is tough. Like Christy said follow your heart and everyone elses opinion doesn't matter.

You never know what might happen in the years to come so live in the moment!!

I talked to some of the other nurses, and our nursnig advisor who is a CPT... they all agreed that the ppl were out of line and that nursing comes first and I was NOT crazy for turning down the slots...

You are not crazy. Get your nursing degree. I don't know about the other but Airborne may be offered again. They want everyone all the time. lol

haha I did tell them to shove it... I feel alienated by the other ROTC kids... honestly I am glad I am moving away from this... I have noticed so many of the people at my university act like JUNIOR HIGH kids still... GROW UP lol
