Damien came home sick from school. He isn''t acting sick, doesn't have a fever but I guess he threw up in the nurses office.

I'm starting to wonder if he can make himself get sick or if this is a small part of a bigger problem. Do any of your kids have stomach issues? Like pains for no reason and random vomiting?

Anyway if he does have a bug I really hope I don't get it too. I can't miss work right now. Wish I could just fix this for him. I hate to see them feeling crappy.

aww. when your babies are sick it's the worst. All you want to do is take it for them. I have heard of some kids being able to make themselves throw up. I know that sounds crazy. My daughter threw up like 3 times 2 nights ago out of no where. She was acting fine and playing. She has never thrown up a day in her life before that. The next morning she woke up and was completely ok. I was freaked out at first but she has been ok since then so I just left it alone. Maybe he ate something that didn't agree with him? Sorry he's not feeling well. Hope he gets better soon!

Woah that is weird. Has stuff like this happened before? What was he doing when he threw up? Could he have been playing or something and been dehydrated?

He complains of stomach pains or nausea at least twice a week. Sometimes it lasts for a few minutes or sometimes hours. He throws up a few times a month. I thought originally it was car sickness. But ruled that out. Thought it was dairy related. Ruled that out. Thought he was constipated. Not the issue.
I just don't know. He has a doctors apt in a couple weeks so I will bring it up. It just doesn't seem to have any kind of explanation.

Have you tried eliminating gluten? The pain lasting for few minutes or hours got me thinking he might have celiac's disease. Try to see what he eats ( like bread or pasta ) and keep a little journal of when he gets pain and or vomiting for the next couple weeks until you see the pediatrician.

Good idea. If it were gluten though wouldn't bread affect him too? I noticed yogurt causes a big problem for him almost every time. But not milk or cheese.

Ok I thought D was faking. Cause I gave him toast and chicken broth for lunch at 1. He ate it and was fine. For about 3 hours. It all just came back up and came flying out his nose. Poor kid! I feel like a horrible mother now. I get so scared when that happens cause you know he can't breath and there is nothing you can do to help. My poor kidlet.

From the sound of it.. ceilac disease... or he has worms... I know that is crazy... does he eat a lot of red meat?

Aww is he feeling better today?

If it was yogurt or dairy he could be lactose intolerant. But with no reaction to milk or cheesse I would say no.

Yes bread would be a no no with celiacs, wheat is the main culprit so anyting from pasta to bread or wheat containg items ( cookies, crackers, etc.. ). The time frame fits, he had toast then 3 hours later he got sick. It's worth a shot.

Good Luck

I agree with Kira. I sounds like he does have celiac's disease. I'm not a doctor or anything, but I would definitely have him checked out.

Well we have an appointment for him soon but I'm thinking it was flu. Still gonna have him checked since he has a history of stomach problems. But after the nasty night we had I'm guessing he had a stomach bug. He couldn't even keep down water. He's doing much better today though. No vomiting no complaints about his tummy. And he was so mad that I kept him out of school cause he missed his Motor Group class this morning.
