So my cousin and his fiance are obviously getting married and my mom has graciously said that she would take care of a gift (both getting and paying for it) for the bridal shower because I'm obviously not going to that but she wanted me to help her pick something. I know a lot of you guys think my wedding was a bit over the top but I can't even begin to tell you about the stuff this girl was telling me about over Christmas. They're paying extra money to have their initials monogrammed on the floor, plates are over $300 a head, shes paying extra for two different desert tables, one is like popcorn, cotton candy...like carnival foods....she wanted to rent a photo both...anyway I'm looking at the stuff on her registry I can't even begin to afford anything but the stupid little stuff like kitchen towels and gadgets that most people use to "fill out" their gifts to me that stuff alone isn't a gift...I mean a $126 kate spade decanter?? I mean really....blegh.
So with this I ask my mom if she finished picking her photos and submitted our photo choices so I can have my album and the THANK YOU cards I ordered....STILL NOT DONE! (Myself and inlaws have had ours done since BEFORE 2/14!!!) Not to be a brat, I'm really not in a rush for my album..I mean it would be nice to actually see it but I kinda want to get my thank yous done. It's really bothering me that I haven't finished them yet....I haven't even started! So that really annoyed me.
Then my last bitch about weddings is that they're getting married at the end of July which is before Mike's "end of the summer" deployment. My parents have said they would pay to fly us home but they're so not going to approve leave for Mike when his pre deployment leave is gunna be like a week later and frankly I don't really want to leave him. And I can tell my mom's going to have a fit. She's very close with my aunt and my brothers and I might as well consider my cousins our brothers but I just can't give up time with Mike for that. I don't want to fight about it but I just feel like my mom won't understand and it's really going to annoy me!!!!
