I'm a little annoyed with the VA.
They called Mike on Monday and told him that he has "severe sleep apnea" and that it was bad enough he should see his PCP and get them to set him up with the equipment needed to sleep properly. I have health insurance through work but as healthy 25 and 27 year olds we don't really have a lot of dr's appointments. We do our regular check ups and such but that's considered preventative care and isn't applied to our deductible... As a result I have not reached my 100% coverage yet and would have to pay out of pocket both for the copay for the specialist AND the entire cost of the equipment he needs....as a result Mike is refusing to go to the Dr. We don't really have the money to pay all of that out in one lump sum and I am now at the mercy of the VA. He figures after the VA completes his disability paperwork they'll give him the disability for the sleep apnea and provide him the care he needs....but that could take MONTHS!
ugh. I know it's not going to kill him but he's soooo tired all of the time and I don't think it's helping his morale much  sigh
oh well. I just wanted to tell you all the VA can suck my :bartmoon: I'm mad they can't provide my husband the care he needs WHEN he needs it...
