roommate drama....fml

so i have a puppy that will be 12 weeks old on monday (her name is ruca) and she is a product of my roommate's dog deciding to "make friends" with the neighbor's dog when she was in heat. well when myah (roomie's dog) was getting ready to have the puppies and we knew it would be anytime we had let her outside to go to the bathroom well she decided to pop a puppy out outside and just leave it...luckily shortly after i heard noises went outside and there was little ruca lying on the ice...i had to bring her inside rinse her off, warm her up and then make sure myah chewed her embo sack off and the umbilical cord and then make sure myah would let ruca feed. so needless to say i saved her life and we have had a bond ever since. well britt didnt want ruca at first then she decided it would be alright if i kept her. well now there is issues because she whines at night and she has accidents in the house. SHE IS A PUPPY!! she does not house train over night... and its frustrating because did my roommate not know this when she said i could keep her? well anyways now she cant be here and i had been in this constant battle of what do i do then?? i am completely in love with this dog and every time i think of giving her to someone else and the thought of never seeing her again gets me all choked up and teary eyed just talking about it.....my roommate texted me while i was working today and said "if you could pick up ruca's poopies in the front yard that would be great please and thanks" really?! the snow effin melted YESTERDAY so you could even see the "poopies" and i have been working this whole week so when have i been home during the day to see what i am doing to even do it? its just sad because i am pretty sure this is coming between our friendship but what can she expect from me? and she had the nerve to text me and say "i will tell you this much she isn't my puppy but i kinda don't want her to go to a stranger..." really..... i think when you don't get an opinion right now....i am so just upset with her i about punched a wall when i got home from work
its not like i leave ruca's pee stains and shit lying on the floor i clean it up immediately after i shove her nose in it and put her outside and i use pet cleaner that helps with the smell.....AGHOIASDHGIODBNBOISDHV that was me yelling.....
luckily a girl i work with loves dogs and said she will keep ruca until mark comes home and we get our place...plus she said it will give her boxer a playmate haha so i have decided i can't give her up but i still don't get to "KEEP" her because she will be at my friends house across town...i guess this only being temporary until october when mark gets out and comes home but still.....i have been a nutcase over this all......sorry i just had to get it out and vent :oops:

see... I'd tell my roommate that I'd work on the puppy "problems" but it's just going to take some time to get her to where she needs to be... maybe even make a deal that if she quits her complaining you'll pay an extra $50 towards rent? idk. I don't think you should have to give up your puppy if she still has her dog. but that's just me. <3 I could never give up my spoiled mutt! (who happens to be asleep on my feet... with her head on MY pillow...)

I agree with Michaela... If she still has her dog, then there should be no reason that YOU should have to get rid of your own. Have you tried maybe crate training? I know most dont like the idea of caging, but I have found that it does make house training easier, and the messes would be in a localize and easier cleanable area while you are gone. Good luck. Pets are like our babies, it would be very hard to give them up.
