big m went back in...september or october. I don't remember exactly...i think october

And christy, it stands for Warrior Leaders Course. It's supposed to be required for anyone to be promoted to E-5, but it doesn't always work that way. There were guys ranked E-7 in M's class...

I know they go to a bunch of classes and what not and have a FTX...

M got to keep his phone, and so did his buddy who went a few weeks ago.

But there was a 4 day FTX which of course...no phone.

Yeah!!! that makes me happy! i was gona go crazy on HERE during spring break if he didnt even get his phone!

haha christy... i dont know why but a different breed. that made me giggle! I hope he gets his phone! Even if its only to text, anything is better than nothing!

Kristi, unless they changed the policy he should get to keep his phone, but not during the day. At night he should have it.

When my husband went to it, it was called PLDC. A lot of people who went to PLDC had to repeat it and go to the "newly named" WLC in order to obtain rank because once again the Army lost paperwork and had no official records of them going to WLC. (of course not, because they went to PLDC and some people in op's are stupid and don't know they are the same thing.) Luckily with Jere, they got the records of him going to PLDC and they had it verified that it is the same program just with a different name.

Whew! Sorry, I had diarrhea of the fingers there for a minute so if it doesn't make sense let me know LOL.

The army loses paperwork?? Nooo never!! :eyeroller: I swear with the amount of paperwork they lose, we could be saving millions of trees...

You are not even kidding about that. The part that really sucks is we have had to get our shots 3 times now because at every post we have been to they say, "We don't take that paperwork because we have a new paper that we use." I swear, we should be covered for the next 50 years!!!

I asked Jason if he went to this, he said he did like 2 years ago, which is why I didn't know about it. He had to go to Ft. McCoy in WI.

It also means Active, Guard Reserves. I believe this is more of an Army or NG term though. It's for people who are in the reserves, but they get an active slot. (such as working the operations desk)

What does AGR stand for????

Active Guard Reserve. Jason is a Full Time Reservist. He's Active Duty, but works for the Reserve Units. Which is why we will most likely never live on a base. The best way to describe it, is he's the in between Active Duty and Reserve. He works everyday like the Active Duty guys do, but with no PT and daily formations but still has to do Drill weekends like the Reservists do. And if he gets attached to a Reserve Unit that is scheduled to Deploy, he has to deploy with them. Currently in his Unit, there are 3 or 4 AGR guys.

He loves the AGR program. He says he will never go "Active Duty" again.

EXACTLY. people always want to meet him, but never get the chance!! Especially all the nurses with me... we are sort of our own little breed...
