So I really REALLY want to learn how... but the books make it seem so hard and idk where to start! Charlie says he knows how... but I'm not sure how much I trust him lol. SO if any of you crochet and have any tips for me please PLEASE leave them!!!!

I only know one pattern, I made one baby blanket that I never gave to my nephew lol and I'm not sure I'd still remember what I did!! So you probably don't want my help!!

I'm going to pretend to be an expert for a bit.

First, decide if you want to knit or crochet. They look similar, but there is really a big difference. Knitting is more stretchy and has give. Crochet isn't quite as strecthy and is usually a bit rougher. Therefore knitting is better for clothing, and baby stuff, while crocheting is better for afghans, purses, jewelry...

Either way, the best books, imo, are the Stitch and Bitch series. I learned basic crocheting from my GMIL, but used stitch and bitch to learn everything else. I learned knitting solely from Stitch and Bitch.

The Crochet version:

Knit version:

The baby blanket that I did a few months back is the knit blanket in the stitch and bitch book.

The crochet book has 2 baby blanket patterns, and I've actually done them both...but I only have pictures of 1.

With the matching hat, and the colors are better

you can find videos on some of the knit and crochet sites that show people doin it slow mo. i had to have someone show me. the books were just confusing.
i did know how to knit but i learned while my dad was dealing with cancer and somehow i forgot how to do it.
i'll find you some links to those videos and post back here later tonight.
