in over a year :) lol
I'm stoked.l I applied for a job as an athletic trainer in the sports medicine clinic at Camp Lejune. I'm still partial to the Army (no worry army wives I'm always faithful to ya ;) ) BUTTTT The starting salary was out of this worlllllddddd and I Know the cost of living is super cheap compared to up here. So hubs and I discussed it, figured I'd apply it's not like they're offering me the job tonight. But it would be a good way for us to be pretty comfortable while Mike really explored what he wants to do post military AND save some money for a house up North eventually.
SOOO Cross your fingers and toes for me!!
I'm going to drive up there and hurt you if you move to NC after we just left!!!!
I seriously hope you get the job!
But be expecting a beatdown if you do...

lol *blushes* I KNOWWW I couldn't believe he even considered moving to NC considering it's below the mason dixon line lmao. but we just figured it was worth the shot...too good a deal not to. However if you drive up and beat my ass you have to buy me a drink afterwards ;)
lol. hey it's not so bad south of the mason dixon line! Why don't you get a job at Benning and you can be a heck of a lot closer. I'd say Rucker but well...even the internet doesn't recognize Rucker as a real place.

LOL Hey people in the north are friendly...you just can't be an idiot and have to say wicked (and definitely, whatever you do, do NOT say y'all)
Unless you're referring to driving in which case they're very rude in the north.
Mere, typically, cost of living in the south is quite low.

I live in the north, and have all my life. And you're absolutely right- Y'all is foreign to most people up here. haha. And driving, again you're right- people do not have patience at all....
From being down in NC and up in PA, i've just noticed a major difference in lifestyle. Pretty much the difference in life-speed. Down south, everyone is happier and more relaxed and not too worried about doing anything to fast. Just enjoying life, and taking it each day at a time. Up north I see a lot of people freak out about time. Always rushing. No relaxing time. Always busy, always doing something, always frustrated. But if you can keep that southern lifestyle anywhere, that would be best!

Heather I'm totally with you!! I'm from up North and Erin I do not use wicked....only when I was at school in MA cause my roommates infected me lol. I over use W alot and drop the f bomb like it's my job (Christy loves to talk to me on the phone for that. It's REALLY bad) The kiddies out in WA used to like to find words I pronounced funny to them and make me say it over and over. I've been down south a little bit and always on vacation so everything is slow anyway.
Hubs and I are cold weather people LOVE the snow so that's the only draw back to NC for us...and he's so not a beach person. But we both know we need to do what's right for us and that may very well be going wherever the jobs are.
even I say wicked, Mere...
When we first moved to Texas after having lived in the north my whole life, I was honestly asked multiple times if I was from Australia.

Thanks Kristi!! That's really sweet!! I'm not really sure what they'll think of my resume. I'm young, relatively inexperienced, and we all know the job market is tight right now. I'm really hoping they'll at least interview me once so they can get to know me, see I'm an intelligent young woman, an army spouse, and an avid military supporter. I would be honored to serve the men and women who server our country in any way I can help. I'd love to support their families as well and I hope I get the chance to tell someone that this is the job for me :) lol

wow it would be nice to have some one down here that isnt jaded working with the Marines! and not all of them are a real pain to work with but you get a few ppl (normally ppl in the marines) that just dont care about the job they are doing or care for the ppl they are trying to help at that job and it makes it really hard to get anything done! i hope you get the job!
