Place your recipes here for anything and everything!!

**Just because it is in Dieting and Exercise does NOT make the Recipe healthy!!**

To avoid all confusion assume it's not healthy unless otherwise noted by the author! So if you post a healthy recipe go ahead and state that it's healthy.

Enjoy ladies!

And Spahr I'll get you the potato recipe but I'll get the one with directions from my mom so you don't have to just guess at it!

i make this really good simple lemon chicken...
you just buy chicken breast or tenderloins and buy the lemon pepper marinade made by kc masterpiece.
its best to marinate it a day or 2 before and leave some extra marinade in the bottle so you can cover it with it while it cooks.
i usually set my oven to about 350 and let it slowly cook for about 50 minutes [but obviously keep an eye on it my oven is crazy and gets super hot haha]

enjoy!!!

Buffalo Chicken Pizza:
Cut up chicken breast and let marinade in buffalo style hot sauce 24 hrs
Buy any type of dough you prefer - I usually get the premade ones on the bread isles
Bake chicken at 350 for about 10 -15 mins. - depends on your oven
Mix 14 oz can tomato sauce with 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning and about 6 Tblsp (I like it hot) buffalo hot sauce
Put as little or as much sauce as wanted on dough
Place cooked chicken on dough and cover with lots of mozz. Cheese
Bake at 350 until all cheese is melted
I usually dip mine in ranch or bluecheese
Simple but so tasty!

Enchiladas:
Mix 28 oz tomato sauce with 1 pkg of taco seasoning
Let chicken cook in sauce in crockpot on low for 4-6 hrs
Pull chicken out of sauce and shred (using 2 forks to pull apart works best for me)
Add green chilies - usually in can on Mexican isle
Heat tortillas in microwave until soft
Line each tortilla with shredded chicken and a sprinkle of either sharp cheddar or pepper jack
Roll up and put in glass baking dish
Cover tortillas with sauce from crockpot and top with either cheese (I've tried both and love each one)
Bake until cheese is melted and serve with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream
My husband loves them!

All these recipes sound so good! You ladies are making me hungry.

Ingredients:2/3 c. Land O Lakes sweet cream butter1/2 c fine dry bread crumbs2T grated parmesian cheese1t EACH basil leaves and oregano leaves1/2 t garlic salt1/4 t salt2 chicken breasts, split (about 1/2 lbs. or 4 half breasts)1/4 c white wine OR apple juice1/4 c chopped green onion (scallions)1/4 c chopped FRESH parsleyDirections:Heat oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter. Combine bread crumbs, parmesian sheese, basil, oregano, garlic salt and salt in separate bowl. Dip chicken breasts in melted butter then coat with crumb mixture;RESERVE remaining butter! Place chicken skin side up in ungreased 10 inch or 25 cm pan. Bake for 50 minutes to 60 minutes, or until chicken is fork tender. MEANWHILE, add wine or juice, green onion, and fresh parsley to reserved melted butter (about 1/2c). When chicken is golden brown, pour butter sauce over chicken. Continue baking for 3 to 5 mins. or until sauce is heated through. Serve with sauce spooned over. Yeild: 4 servings. P.S. If you wash and slice (or large chunk) skin on potatoes, wrap them in a pan with foil, and add a stick of butter and Lipton's Onion Soup mix it goes great with this. Bake at 375 degrees closed up for about an hour. Yum!

6 Medium Russet Potatoes cooked (boiled) in skins until tender
1 pint Sour Cream
10 oz. Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 Bunch Scallions finely sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs

Cool potatoes, peel and grate coarsely. Add sour cream, cheddar cheese, scallions,
salt and pepper. Mix well, transfer to a greased 13 x 9 pan. Melt butter add bread crumbs
and scatter over potato mixture. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes.

I got this recipe from an ex and his mom used to actually grate a couple of slices of white bread to make fluffy bread crumbs but my mom and I found that just using plain old 4c bread crumbs makes a good enough crust!

Danie and I love this one. We're Bisquick fanatics...

1 bag of frozen veggies, thawed and drained
1 cup of diced cooked chicken (I just bake it without anything on it)
1 can (10 3/4 oz) of condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup of original Bisquick mix
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg

1. Heat oven to 400.
2. In an un-greased 2 quart casserole dish mix vegetables, cooked chicken, and soup until blended.
3. In a seperate bowl mix Bisquick, milk and egg together. Pour mixture over the top of the chicken, veggies, and soup - this will make your crust.
4. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

I find the crust usually browns before 30 minutes is up. Probably depends on the oven but I'd just keep an eye on it!

Also for a little change you can buy StoveTop chicken stuffing. And cook as directed and put that over the top of the chicken, soup, and veggie mixture to make your crust instead of the Bisquick. That's really good too!

LOL - my aunt's recipe. Great stuff!

3 ripe bananas (I find over ripe, brown bananas mush better)
1 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt

Preheat the over to 325. Grease loaf pan (pam cooking spray is fine). Mash the bananas. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Bake for 1 hour.

Again keep an eye on this one but don't be afraid to let it really brown. The center takes a little longer to cook.

Pre-made Pie Crust
1 package of Strawberry Gelatin
Bag of Chocolate Chips
1 Pckg Instant Vanilla Pudding
A whole bunch of strawberries :)

You may want to go ahead and make the vanilla pudding ;)

Put enough chocolate chips to cover bottom of Pie Crust and melt them. Spread the melted chocolate so the entire bottom is covered. Put in fridge to let it set. Cut the strawberries in half and take off the leaves. (You may want to cut the larger ones in 4 and yes I know people who didnt cut off the leaves). Mix the strawberries with the strawberry gelatin so the strawberries are covered in the gelatin. Take the pie crust out of the fridge. Take the pudding and spread a thin layer on top of the chocolate. Add the strawberries and VOILA! instant yumminess!!!

Some people like to add whipped cream on top but I personally am not a fan! I always have this for my family bday dinner instead of cake! Also careful with the chocolate because it can be hard to cut and VERY sweet if you use too much lol

Sooo here it is ladies... PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE since you all questioned me on my facebook status

4 cups sugar
1 cup Evaporated Milk (13 oz... but we always just use one can which is 12oz)
1 stick butter or oleo
2 cups miniature marshmallows
2 cups peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

(you got to get a candy thermomoter if you don't have one and be sure to use a pan with COPPER BOTTOMS... mom and I have found out over the years the newer pans don't work, for some reason it makes the peanut butter fudge really crumbly and doesn't cook the same. It still tastes good, it just crumbles!)

Boil sugar, milk and butter to soft ball stage on candy thermometer (put on oven at medium heat). Stir constantly as it burns easily. Remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows until they are all melted. Then stir in vanilla and peanut butter. Pour into 9 x 12 GREASED pan. Let it sit in pan for a few hours till its cooled then cut it up into cubes and enjoy!

Dressing:
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/2 cup Miracle Whip®
1 cup Mayonnaise
2 tablespoon Prepared Mustard (I used reg mustard)
3 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Onion Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Salad:
2 tablespoon Onion Flakes (I used some diced red onion)
2/3 cup celery - chopped
2/3 cup sweet pickles - chopped (I used relish)
2 tablespoon pimiento - chopped
8 cups macaroni - cooked (or cooked potatoes)

Instructions
Dressing: Combine dressing ingredients in a large bowl and set aside. Macaroni Salad: Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl. Coat well with the dressing. Refrigerate at least an hour before serving. Potato Salad: Substitute 8 c cooked, peeled, cubed cold potatoes for the macaroni. Increase the celery to 1 cup and substitute snipped green onions for the dried. Can add 1 c of pitted black and/or stuffed green olives in either salad.

Kennedy LOVES this pasta salad. I made it last night and she ate all of it, and then we just had some of the left overs... It makes a lot, and I just added as many noodles to keep the sauce from being too sparse...

Enjoy!

as requested by Spahr I'm adding this here so you can find it later! :)

Home Made Pie Crust:
2 level cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
3/4 cup crisco (crisco makes butter flavored "sticks" like a stick of butter and I like that type the best )
5 tablespoons of cold water

Spoon flour into measuring cup and level. Mix flour and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in crisco using a pastry blender (two dinner knives work well if you don't have a pastry blender) until all the flour is blended in and you have pea sized chunks. Sprinkle water, one tablespoon at a time. Toss with a fork until dough starts to form. (I usually wind up using my hands to kneed it) Divide ball into 1/2 to make double crusts. Flour dough lightly, roll in a circle and let sit with damp paper towel over it while you make the pie filling.

PIE FILLING
6 cups of thinly sliced apples
1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of all purpose flour
1/2 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
dash of ground nutmeg.

Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nut meg. Add sugar to apples to coat apples.

Roll out first pie crust and line the inside of the pie tin. Add apple mixture to fill pie. Roll out second pie crust and place on top of the pie. Flute edges (I use a fork to press the crusts together) Cut 4 1/2 inch holes in the top pie crust to let the pie vent. Paint lightly with a wipped egg. Sprinkle sugar on top. Place a thin piece of foil around the edges of the pie crust only to keep it from burning. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
