So, John got his assignment papers. He's going to be reporting to the 3d ACR in May and deploying to Iraq this fall. It was really hard getting the news, but I'm trying to stay as positive as possible. I don't know for sure how long his tour will be but I read something in the Army Times that said it would be a year long deployment. I can't even imagine what it will be like and I'm trying not to. I got really upset and stressed reading his letter today because he gave me the news and then was totally stressing about moving and how we're moving and all the details which made ME stress because I'm the one who has to handle the details. But I feel better now after a good cry and a call from one of the girls whose hubby is training with John.
((HUGS)) My DH is deploying late summer to Afghanistan for 12 months, we can keep each other positive!! Just keep your head up and enjoy your time together, it goes by so quickly...
