We are at Ft. Campbell. Since you were here already, I won't bore you with the details...lol. I am not sure about deployments but we were lucky and will have 1 year together before his first deployment, it seems as though they are on 1 year on 1 year off.

im at benning. we have been here 2 yrs in may and my hubby has not deployed yet. there are talks for early next year, but for now we have been lucky. theres lots to do here, we are like an hour from atlanta. 15mins from alabama. lots to do for kids, (chuck e cheese, monkey joes, jumpin jax) the mall is 8 exits away, theres the dollar movie theater behind the mall, and lots & lots of resturants. when we were at knox we got bored easily cause theres not much there unless you like driving the 30mile drive to louisville. we have gotten out of the house and done so much since moving here. also a big plus for us we are only 5 hours from home so those wknd trips come rather often.

We are at Ft. Richardson, Alaska (we live on the air force side because housing gave us the option...) It isn't too bad here, you just have to be creative with what there is to do. It is beautiful year round. Our house looks out to the mountains and they seem to change every day. We are right on the inlet so it is a great place for fishing. It is a lot of fun in the summer, the weather is perfect every day... 70, sunny, and not humid at all. No wind. And no bugs!

Haha. It can suck sometimes in the winter but because the units are so small around here, everyone is friends with everyone, lots of gatherings to keep us busy.

The guys just got home from a deployment and won't be deploying again until the end of NEXT year maybe. We will see.

Fort Bliss Texas. Honestly the only downfall for me is that its expensive, and hard to find places if you have pets over 20lbs!

Camp Lejeune which i know isnt much help but in case any Marine wives get on. Not much to do, closest beach is on base the other is about 1/2 hr drive. lots of bugs and mice and a bunch of ppl. Wilmington seems to have more going on and that is a 30-45 min drive as well. i personally hate it here and would give anything to be stationed in Colorado Springs but i dont think they take to many Marines lol! we do plan on moving to that area when he is done...but now im thinking Alaska sounds nice too!!!
the only part that i really really like is all of the restaurants have grades posted and alot of the surrounding towns do too...i wish all of the U.S. was like that!

We're at Fort Wainwright, AK. It's beautiful up here and deffinately a different kind of experience. I hate HATE cold weather but I don't mind putting up with it for a little while. If you're into winter sports or like small towns, this is a great place to be! The downside is that there isn't a whole lot to do and the only other place that really have any civilization and stores etc. is Anchorage which is 6 hours away. Everything is more expensive up here and the plane tickets to the lower 48 are ridiculous!
