John used to do stuff like that to me. Not on purpose, but guys don't get that when we say stuff like that, we really want reassurance. They don't mean anything by it. I got upset a few times when he's said stuff, but other than that I just laughed it off. I'm working out now and down about 10 pounds (which isn't a lot considering I need to lose about 40 more), but he loves it and all I get are compliments and encouragement from him. :)

i definitely agree with that. as women, we understand that saying something like that is a way of asking for reassurance. but try instead of doing or saying something like that, taking your own enitiative to start working out or dieting or both, whatever you decide you want to do, and surprise him. that often brings in the compliments and assurance that we all look for in our image, especially from our significant others. that 1st compliment that comes in when he says, ".. you look good today.." is one of the best feelings ever. i felt the same way you feel now a little less than a year ago, so i took control. i lost 20 lbs. in 6 months and have lost about 10 lbs. since he left for BCT. i am 130 lbs. now, i like it and he loves it. it's a really good feeling =)

Oh goodness, I don't think I could take a comment like that. I would probably start balling. But, on the other hand it would give me a wake up call.. and get my butt to the gym as well. Good luck hun.
