Hey ladies, to add to Kara's original questions, I have one more. On both of our husbands' LESes, it deducts the $250 pay advance twice. Kara's hubby asked his DS about it and all he said was it happened to everyone and it was correct, but no more explanation. I don't get it. It doesn't seem right to me. Please help?
One is listed as Pay Advance and the other is listed as Repay Advance. They're both under deductions.

It's been awhile since our first check but I was pretty sure that happened to us. Just in case I googled and got this, HTH!:

Question: He received a advance card thing he could use at the PX while there for 250.00 but on his LES we were deducted twice for it... one said advance pay and then the second said repay advance. I have cut and pasted below... ANY help would be wonderful.

Answer: The advance pay isn't being taken twice, to me that means it was given then repaid out of the same paycheck (equaling a zero balance).

Is there an amount of 250 in the pay section?

Erin, it's under entitlements once and under deductions twice.

Thanks Kira...it still doesn't make sense to me though. lol It's under his pay once but under deductions twice and it you add up all the deductions, it is added in to the deductions twice. I mean if it happens to everyone I'd assume it's right, it just doesn't seem like it is.

Oh okay, then basically they took out $250, put $250 back in, and then took our $250 again.

We've had stuff like that happen to us too. I have no clue why, but you've just paid $250 in the end.

The Army ( or should I say the LES ) is weird like that. In the end you got the 250 and they took it out once. I was confused by it at first as well but it all makes sense in the end. Jan 1st pay we were credited .05 and .02 for extra taxes.. I'm all for and extra .08 but seriously..lol.
