So last night JM and I were texting cause he went out with the guys while I had sorotiry stuff for Hell Night to do. We started talking about everything from a wedding to his deployment and everything, we just avoided the topic of WLC and him not getting leave...

Hes going to get me involved in his FRG!!!! I am sooo happy about it. I know since I don't live down there it won't help a whole lot, but I know it will be a big help when he is deployed and stuff!

Hes such a dork, he loves the FRG he said when he first got to bliss his unit was deployed still, and they had a FRG thing and all the ladies were drunk... he said they were a hoot!

Yeah, I made contact with the one girl in our FRG, but I ended up knowing more information than she did. Since Jason was the HR Sgt. I knew more than she did and she would call me wanting to know what was going on. Pretty funny.

I don't really know what FRG stands for lol but is this just an Army thing or does every branch have one?! because it sounds pretty helpful

KristiMarie

Haha Yeah Christy... the drama is sooo not going to be fun, but I hope since I'm not in texas on post, Ill be able to avoid the drama for the most part!!!

bahaha thanks Lisa! <3

I've realized if you try to do a 'Post Quick Reply' in all caps.. it changes it?
If you do a 'Go Advanced', it should be fine. I think that's how it goes haha

Lisa
03-01-2009, 03:07 PM

im glad you are getting involved.

oh the marines dont have a FRG we have VKs (vey volunteers) and a Family readness officer (which is usually a figher up marine) its pretty much the same as FRG except a marine runs it not a wife.

KristiMarie
03-01-2009, 04:07 PM
ugh... no offense that would be sort of weird to me... having a marine run it... to me the wives know more... well experience wise, they can relate more to the others "left behind" than another military personnel could...

Lisa
03-01-2009, 04:41 PM
eh Kristi you may be right, but I don't really get along with girls very well, and I'm really close with a couple of D's best friends who are also marines, so as long as he wasn't a total deuche who thought we were annoying and his job was pointless lol I wouldn't mind a guy running it at all

KristiMarie
03-01-2009, 04:43 PM
haha ohhh true Lisa... I dunno... maybe a military HUBBY...lol but not a marine himself!

JessicaLynn
03-01-2009, 04:48 PM
Marines make me giggle haha

I'm sorry but when Josh's buddies are singing "I kissed a girl and I like it.."
they can be the leader all they want. I would be pretty entertained :)

KristiMarie
03-01-2009, 04:49 PM
Ohhh lord... they would Kiss a girl and like it lmao

Lisa

The FRG's are great for information, especially during a deployment, but like Christy said there can also be a lot of drama. Right now, our FRG is pretty good, but they don't get a lot of the information out until everyone has pretty much heard the information. Just be careful.
