Hi,
My name is Serena, and my husband just left for BCT on Sunday the 7th. He is in the Army National Guard, and I need a lot of support. My husband and I are very attached to each other, so being apart from one another has been very difficult. I haven't spoken to him in over a week, which, I know, is not much at this point, but long for us. I am just looking for advice and support as he will be gone for about the next 5 and 1/2 months.
I have been trying to keep myself busy as I am a full-time student and part-time worker, however, I have found that my body and mind are very stressed out with these changes that have so recently come about. My close friends and family have been taking very good care of me, but sometimes it still feels like it's not enough.
I appreciate any advice anyone can give me at this point :)

Welcome! I'm Kira, 27, my DH is AD Army, stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. We have 2 boys ages 5 and almost 3. I am a SAHM and right now taking classes for Medical Administration. We have a great group of ladies here, I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do! My advice is stay busy, write a ton of letters ( I know that helped me ), it may not seem like it now but the time really does fly by.

Welcome Serena!! This site will give you amazing support!! :)

Im Lindsay(21), and my boyfriend Aaron(23) is in the Army National Guard as well- he was deployed for about 9 months and this site definitely helped me get through!!

Definitely stay busy and find something to pass the time (which sounds impossible right now but it'll happen!!)

Cant wait to get to know you!

Thank you very much for the warm welcome already; I wasn't expecting such rapid replies! But it really does help to know that I have all kinds of support.

Welcome Serena!!

I'm Meredith! I'm a 24 year old Army wife to Mike. He's been AD for 8 years now. He's on his 4th deployment, my second. He's been in Iraq 5 months now and I've been living with my parents and two brothers in NJ since he left. We're stationed out of Ft Lewis, WA. I'm working as an office assistant which I don't love but it will do for now.

I didn't go through BCT with Mike he had already been in 4 years when I met him but we have been separated for most of our relationship so I know as well as most of these girls that any type of time or distance is hard. You came to the right spot for a shoulder to lean on and some one to make you smile!

Feel right at home!
