things that make you smile

So I was helping my mom get dinner ready and I was putting together some marinade for chicken and it made me think of the breaded chicken Mike likes which in turn made me think of how cute he is when he helps me make dinner. He's so cute about it.....beer in hand, dish towel over the shoulder, cookin dinner...just cute.

So what are some of the everyday things you do that make you smile and think about your deployed hubs/bf?! Or shit your non deployed s/o??

Oh man I can't think of it right now, but something reminded me of big M the other day and I just started cracking up laughing...like hysterical laughing. I'm going to have to think about it and remember because I was laughing so hard it was embarassing.

hehe I giggled reading your post cause I've done that before too!! I laughed out loud at the note Mike sent with my Vday flowers today. He's such a goober...but r ememberrrr dang it!! I wanna know what had you laughin about big M!!

OMG mere EVERYTHING.

Ill look at my bookshelf and remember him writing me a letter when he was home on pre deployment leave that I didn't even find until finals week when I was cleaning shit out :)

Or I'll open my kitchen cabinet and see velveeta cheese or mac n cheese and just think about him. I also still have one of his bud lights from when he was home, everytime I open my fridge I smile when I see it sitting there :)

Kristi I have done the same thing with my DH's beer thats still in the fridge and I open it and think of him. Also when I was driving back from my in laws I was thinking about how we would hold hands or just put our hand on each others leg and just keep it there and it was like aww i miss him so much and its only been like 2 weeks or so.

Justin still has his Jager in my freezer..lol That makes me smile. Also, he forgot his toothbrush at my house while he was down on leave over Xmas and it's still in my bathroom in the same spot...right by mine :) Gotta love the little things, huh? :)
