AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!!!
ok, i have waited for hubby to come home from AIT and basic, I missed him terribly, and fear the deployment you all who are going through (hugs for you all) BUT, they messed up his pay and he did not get paid yet!! and to BOOT he actually worked the few days he was here at xmas for hometown recruiting and had to go in and actuall work!! So it is not like I saw him lots when he was here, mind you this was so he did not have to use his leave, all papers were signed off here and at AIT, BUT no , they CHARGED him for his leave! He did not get paid for the rest due to him AND it may take a "few weeks or so" to look into it and make sure the claim is legit BLAH BLAH BLAH>... meanwhile! I dont make enough to pay the bills myself! His paycheck was to pay the other half of my rent as I pay twice a month!!! so it is now going to be late!! not to mention it will now be throwing next months late if I have to pay it with my pay only!!! UGH..
his bonus is in process and should, i know, should be here in 30 days.
So bills due, he is like it will work out... my landlady is not the best, but we have been here almost 2 years!! so I did let her know!
that throws all the other bills in upheaval!

ON top of this National Guard, they get their civilian job back when return form training, the Art Gallery he was working at is probably closing!! so right now he is ON CALL STATUS which tecnically is what he was before as he was part time (but at least he worked!!) so he has a job just not needed to go to work!!
He is putting in for a full time position after Battle Handoff Feb mid month!
I am praying all will work out, IF i get his W2 this weeked and file taxes asap we will manage!
Just had to vent I am sorry!! He loves the Army and National Guard was his choice but it i stressful!!

on the funny side, he got to see his wonderful son's FIT all week of not wanting to do his homework!! (he is 8) and finally understood my frustration!!! (he helped with that while I did my homework!! LOL it is so nice to have that eyeopener! I was not crazy hon, our little man is a pain the ^*&&&*I when it comes to homework!!

thanks for listening!

oh, i am on facebook too!!! PM me for the info you need to find me!!

GIIRRRLL! You need a margarita!! I'm sorry they screwed everything up!! Try to hang in, like your hubs said it will allll work out!! For about 6 months after Mike and I got married they were giving us like 300 for BAS but still charging us 250 for the single soldier meal plan or w/e so we were only getting 50 bucks a month for BAS lol. The army is done. Make sure he talks to someone and they'll help him get his leave days back and the right pay...just takes a bit of paperwork and being persistent!

your little guy sounds like he can be a handful, but seriously, do you really want to do homework?! lol you just know you have to. He'll figure it out! I'm glad hubs was there to witness first had though! It always makes it better when their jaw hits the floor cause they SEE it and have to believe you!

I hope you have a relaxing weekend!! Take a bubble bath!!

I don't know exactly how it works but there's somewhere on Base where you can get a emergency loan etc. And yes National Guard should qualify just tell them he's in basic. I think you can ask at the Family Readiness Center. Or if you aren't close to a base try going to Militaryonesource.com and call their 1-800 # they can probably recommend a bank nearby that is military friendly. You could also try militaryloans.com another soldier I've talked to online recommends them. Be careful though only take a loan for what you need and make sure you can pay it off when you get the bonus since you know thats coming in like 30 days.

Anyway good Luck hope that helps.

We've had a lot of pay problems recently with the National Guard so I really sympathize.
