Dear Army, :freedom:
I did the math, my husband will have spent 27 of the last 36 months in Iraq. Do you think I could have him back?? I'd like to enjoy looking at him (and I don't mean in pictures or on webcam) before he goes totally gray. I mean don't get me wrong, salt and pepper on a guy is hot...when hes 50.
His shins are swollen, his feet probably stink, he's been working non stop for well over a week now, and I'm pretty sure he slept fully clothed last night, boots included, thanks to the constant run of work this week. :tanker2:He's tired of the sand, the haircuts, and the food. At least it makes it easy on the laundry people over there, his uniform could probably walk itself right into the washing machine!
I wouldn't mind some quality time with him. Or even just a few minutes to catch up on our banking. You see, thanks to the extreme opposite-ness of our schedules we some how missed a credit card charge that has gone unpaid since October....resulting in 150 dollars worth of late fees and the account being suspended. We didn't want to use the card anyway, but we didn't exactly want to pay 150 dollars in fees either. Then they called me like 3 times and hung up saying they'd call back when he was available, before I could get out that he was in Iraq and wouldn't be able to speak to them, they'd have to settle for me. Which of course results in the "well you're not on the account" discussion which leads to two more weeks worth of delays while they evaluate my power of attorney, that they won't keep on file. Meaning the next time I have an issue, start the whole dang process all over again....while we're talking about POA's....what's the point? I have yet to see how they've made my life any easier....9 times out of 10 they want my husband to verify the POA...you know, I wasn't really kidding when I said he was in Iraq!!
I'm a married woman....at least I think I am. I wear two rings on my left ring finger, I wore a pretty white dress and veil, had a big party, and married....oh yeah a soldier! :solove: Good thing I have the pictures or I don't think I'd remember what he looks like. My family has taken up giving me not one but three picture mugs with pictures of my husband on them - oh yeah and the pad of paper with his picture printed on the upper right corner of every page, I think they're afraid I'm going to forget what he looks like he's away so often.
I live at home with my parents, I have...a BEDROOM. Not an a house, or a trailer, or an apartment...a bedroom! I love my parents, and my not one...but two adult brothers who live at home as well, but I thought the point of being married was so you could live together, you know, under the same roof?? Not several thousand miles away from one another...that is where Iraq is right?? Far away?? :usflag:
Any way, you'd have a much happier soldier if you let him see his wife. If you won't send him home would you please consider an all expenses paid trip for me to go and stay with him in his chu while his roommate is away?? I'm not a female soldier, if I get knocked up :baby: don't worry....your soldier will stay in Iraq, it's no loss to you to send me home.
Thanks so much for listening,
an impatiently waiting, trying not to be disgruntled, army wife. :dots:
:roller: :wiggle: *giggles*
