any ideas for some easy stuff for a beginner?? my mom claims she's not the greatest sewer...I don't recall the last time she did anything on her sewing machine...I will be digging it out of the attic here shortly...I would eventually like to make bags out of Mike's old uniforms for sentimental value...and his mom expressed interest in want one as well...but I don't want to cut into uni's until I know how to use the damn sewin machine. I was thinkin starting out with some aprons maybe?? any ideas for me??

That's a great start... you can even go to Joann's and get a pattern for some pajama pants, and do that. Or scrub pants... drawstring is much easier then elastic! YAY... more sewing folks !
