So it's kind of hit me like a rock how not prepared we are! We don't have a crib, car seat, or stroller. lol I realize I'm only 18 weeks but geez before I know it baby will be here! I know his mom is getting us everything I just mentioned but I started making a registry and I had NO IDEA! what we did/didn't need! I mean do u really need a wipe warmer? That seems to me like an un-neccesary luxury. I guess I really want to know what moms didn't get that they wish they had or what they ended up getting like right away and what I probably won't need. I know my friends will go crazy getting clothes and stuff. Clothes is not something I'm worried about plus I'm DEFINITELY not shunning hand-me-downs. lol one of my mommy friends told me I was nesting and I need to calm down because I have more time than I think but if anyone knows me they know I worry... A LOT! So mommies what do i need?!?!?!:chinscratch:

i never had a wipe warmer, or a diaper genie!! walmart has a case of diapers, size 1 with like 100 or more diapers in it, for like 20 bucks i had those for darren the first few weeks youll use alot of diapers!! i use unscented wipes just to be sure the perfume doesnt irritate his skin! a swing is a must they soothe baby!! i dont have a bassinet he just sleeps in his crib! if your baby is gonna be down the hall id deffy get a baby monitor, so you can hear him/her in the middle of the night, i bought the travel stroller, it comes with the carseat, it saved on money and darren can use it till he is like 32lbs i think so needless to say hes 5 months old and still using it!!! get lots of bibs, and recieving blankets!! you can never have too many recieving blankets, i usually use the recieving blankets as burp cloths if he spits up or anything i wipe his mouth with the blanket and then throw it in the wash and grab another, some babies spit up too much for just a burp cloth!!! well thats all i can think of right now!! i hope it helps good luck and congrats im so excited for you!!!!
oh and calm down 12 weeks is still alot of time, stressing too much can cause probs for you and baby!! well you know where to find me if you need anything!! hugs!!
Steal receiving blankets from the hospital. I mean, take the home because you're paying for the service and it's not stealing!! Seriously, I took home probably 15 or so receiving blankets, and didn't need to buy any.
Wipe warmer, not necessary. Def a swing or a bouncer...or both. Diaper genie, totally not necessary. I have a list of things that you need, versus the extra crap...i'll see if i can find it.
Don't buy a lot of bottles or pacifiers if you plan on using them. You never know which ones will work, so you're better off waiting until you figure it out.

1st thing is first - you need to stop stressing. It's not good for you or baby. Just take it slow and enjoy every minute of the amazing experience of being pregnant. You will miss it later on. You are right though about how the time will fly. There are so many things that most woman register for that they probably never use. I got so many myself. Like a wipe warmer (because they ended up drying out and burning some of the wipes on the bottom), one of those sleepers that recreate the womb (it's like a padded min-bed and has a heartbeat to recreate the feeling of the womb), 4 diaper genies (guess they thought I needed one for each room? ), 4 cases of newborn diapers (even though they pee a lot you'll be surprised how fast they grow out of newborn), and a ton of other things that I passed on to my SIL. One thing that I didn't get was a baby food processor. I would have loved to make my own baby food. Plus that jar food gets expensive. Another thing that would be good is to invest in is a GOOD pump if you plan on nursing. I got a top of the line double electric one. AMAZING! lol. Sorry, I am rambling now.
