So I got a text message in the middle of the night but I ignored it..becuase my phone was plugged in downstairs and I was being too lazy and tired to get it (It was 2 am) Well when I woke up I remembered the text message..
I looked at the message it read
"Bank of America Alert: Direct deposit of $3,750.00 posted on 01/07/2010 for account xxxx go online for recent activity."
I had to look at it like 10 times.. I was so confuzed... So naturally I went online, it said it was a direct deposit from the military.. Now we aren't waiting from any money from the army. we already got our travel pay. (well part of it, he hasn't submitted the other part yet) and it isn't pay check time (and if he makes 3k for his paycheck and has been holding out on me when have issues..lol) I asked hubby about it and he was all confuzed... I double checked it against the amount of his travel pay and it isn't close to the amount so it isn't that they double paid it...
SO WTF is this money? I mean don't get me wrong..I LOVE money... but I want to know what it's for... so I know it's not a mistake and going to be taken back..
Hubs racked his brain and the only thing he can think of, is it being the last part of his orig enlistment bonus from his orig contract, he was suppose to get 5k a year for 3 years. This would be the last year he would get it, and he usually gets it the first week in FEB. But... He was told where he reinlisted this past June that he may not get it this year becuase it was a new contract and he was no longer under his old contract.. (that pissed me off) and it is too early for it... (only by a month but still since when does the army pay ppl early????) So anyway... I'm afraid to touch the money incase its a mistake...
He said he is going to ask around today WTF it is... there was no email in his AKO about it (usually when you get some sort of bonus or travel pay you get an email confirming it) and there is nothing in his LES about it. I'm hoping its legit and if it is YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! but if not BOOOOOOOOO!!!
