Okay so we just bought this new oil burner for the house cause Josh has a weird thing about smelly stuff even though his sense of smell sucks. We got rose, lavender, sandlewood and vanilla, ans cinnamon nutmueg. He also has a thing for these new scented pheremones that he bought. They really do drive me crazy. Even more so now that I'm pregnant. Do you ladies prefer oils or candles? And do you have any suggestions? I know that lavender is soothing and pumpkin is an aprodesiac.

Alright, I read this post and something twitched in the back of my mind, so I did a little bit of researching. There are a few essential oils you are supposed to avoid during pregnancy, but most of that is skin contact with the oils, which wouldn't be a problem with the oil burner. I found a few sites that seemed useful and looked like they'd be helpful to you.

Hope that helped!

The Scentsy warmer is really neat a Mother of a child who take's Martial Arts at the same Dojo as me sells them so the Dojo bought a bunch. They smell great not too much like some stuff I'm kinda sensitive to some scents cause of my allergies and they don't bother me. They are also safer around kids then candles and some oil burners because its only a 25 watt light bulb so the wax or whatever doesn't get really hot and there's no flame.
I'm the forgetful type so I'd probably forget about a candle and burn down the house.

I keep wanting to buy a scentsy warmer and some wax I have heard RAVES about it... and with the boys and dog, it sounds like a great idea!!! I don't know anyone personally that sells them and I don't want to buy them from someone random... lol ( I want to smell some of the waxes first ya know?) Like In Tx when I had an avon lady if i wanted something but was unsure about a color I just let her know and she would come over and show me...

I had no idea that oils could be bad for a pregnancy. Thanks for the heads up. I read the articles and had to put some of the oils that I was already using away. And they were my favorite too. Especially the cinnamon. Where can I get one of those warmer things? They sound much safer for me.

The prices are on all of the stuff.. Like the full size warmers seem to range from 30-35 and the med ones are around 25. then they have smaller plug in ones for less. They have $3 car ones. The scent part is really inexpensive too. Click the "Buy" tab it will have an Ecatalog with all the prices.

For the scentsy I think you have to find a consultant to buy from. Now technically the consultant doesn't have to be near you but if you want to see some samples its probably best to go through someone close by. There's a find a consultant link on their website just put in your city and zip code to find someone close by.
For anyone in the San Diego Ca area here's a link to the women I know that sells Scentsy stuff. https://tawnyaosborne.scentsy.us/Home
