Hello all. Let me first just say that ya'll maintain this site so much better that some of the others that I have visited recently. My name is Crystal and I just turned 27 Friday. Yay! Getting closer to thirty and lovin' it. I have two children of my own, one of each, Peyton and Kaleb ages 9 and 7. Just found out last week that number three is on the way! I live in North Carolina and am currently a waitress though it seems that I will be looking for a new line of work soon. Ten hours on my feet can't be good for the newly pregnant right? The love of my life is in the Guard, but I'm new to the family so I'm learning the ropes, and learning to cope with the daily worries that go along with marrying a soldier. I'm hoping that you guys will be able to answer some of my questions and assuage most of my fears. Well he starts a new job tomorrow so we gotta hit the pillows!!!! Hope to chat with everyone soon!

I'm Kathryn..my boydriend is a marine and is stationed out at camp pendleton, ca while I'm here in texas. We finished our deployment back in august..he was gone for about 8 months. I also have a 5 yr old daughter named alexia :)

I'm Meredith, 24. Gettin close to my first anniversary with my soldier. He's currently in Iraq for the 3rd time. We're stationed out of Ft Lewis WA but I'm living in NJ with my parents and closer to his family while he's away. WA is way far lol.

Hi Crystal! Welcome & big congrats on baby #3!! =] I'm Brooke. I'm new to the Guard as well. My husband just joined, so we are learning the ropes together. He goes to BCT/AIT in January at Ft Knox where he'll be training to become a Cav Scout (Go 19D!). These girls are amazing and very understanding! I'm sure you'll feel right at home here.

Hi Brooke! Yeah the girls here have made me feel very welcome. Hope everything goes well for your man with the Guard. Has he been in service before? Don't know exactly what a cav scout does but I think Josh has explained it to me before.

No, this is his first time, but he has a lot of family who have been or are in the military. He will scout out areas before the infantry goes into them to give them an idea of what to expect...at least that's my take on it. He could be on foot or in armored vehicles.
