What did you and your SO do on your first Thanksgiving/Christmas together?

Family visits..lol. DH has a pretty big family since he has 5 older half siblings. Lots of family parties. We met in Oct but I met all his family that first holiday season. I was overwhelmed at first but 6 years later I got it down to a strict routine..lol.

Wellll... JM met my family for the first time over christmas last year... and PROPOSED TO ME :)... to think this christmas will be 3 years of us being together!!!!

Sooo... Evan and I spent our first holiday together at Christmas of 2001. I returned from deployment and we met up at my mom's house. It was different. We hadn't seen each other in six months... CRAZY... then, he proposed on new years eve, and we got married on Jan 2nd, 2002. Talk about fast!!! It was the best holiday I've ever had!!!

He was in california for our first Thanksgiving this year.. :( lol He WILL be down for our first Christmas together so I'll def let ya'll know how that goes!

lol Kathryn I know the feeling :) Our First Thanksgiving was last year and we were at a community center on post with his Sgt and his family. It was nice but not Thanksgiving since I had never spent a turkey day anywhere other than my own home before..

Andd we have yet to spend a Christmas together :) lol...last year we could have but with the wedding it was easier to let him visit his mom while I finished up with that stuff....so on the 4th year of holidays together Mike and I aren't hitting em so well lol

our first thanksgiving together we went to his great grand parents house, and christmas, we just spent a couple hours together on christmas eve.

M and I met on Thanksgiving so it's a special day for us. We celebrate 3 anniversaries every year (Thanksgiving, then November 28 which is the actual day, and June 4 which is our wedding anniversary) So we met on Thanksgiving and went to a movie together (How High). Our first Christmas we were both working again. I had dinner with my parents, then he came and picked me up and that's when he met my family. Then we spent the evening together at work lol.

We've officially been dating (or married now lol) for 7 years as of Monday. :)

First Thanksgiving we went to one my co-worker's place's then stopped by a Co-worker of his later that evening. It was fun day but hectic day.

Our first Christmas we spent apart since I already had tickets to go visit my family and the relationship was pretty new so I didn't ask him to come with me. But he took me to the airport and picked me up when I got back. Also while I was gone he cleaned my apartment which was really sweet of him.

well this year was our first thanksgiving! we went to my familys for lunch and his for dinner. its been a long time since hes been home for thanksgiving so it was really cool :)

our first christmas was 2007-- we were dating (this is our first married christmas!), we went to my grannys for christmas eve and then went our seperate ways-he went to midnight mass with his family and then christmas day i met him at his familys house and we spent the day there opening presents, drinking ;) and eating of course! i wish we had more pictures from our first christmas, i think we have 2 and we arent even looking at the camera lol

Our first thanksgiving was while we were dating last year....and we went to both sets of Jamies grandparents (my family doesnt really do a whole lot for thanksgiving)....and this year for thanksgiving we spent it apart....Jamie had to work to I went hunting with my family....and then drove the 4 1/2 hours home...

Our first christmas together, Jamie proposed! we only got to see eachother for a very short while on xmas cuz I got home from work at 11, and he proposed and we went to sleep lol

Our first Thanksgiving was when Jordan and I started as being a couple! Christmas was interesting he finally understood that my dads side of the family really doesnt talk to me(they talked to him more then me sad i kno) umm then i went to his moms and they were doing a gift exchange and i started to meet...well everyone in his family really(at this point his brother was dating a girl i knew from HS theatre and she really helped me with making sure i knew everyone and gave me someone to talk to if i needed) and i thought his mom hated me b/c i was "taking her baby from him" but he assured me that it was something else that was upsetting her and she did like me(but after his last gf it wasnt to hard) the 2nd time around he was in Iraq...the 3rd he was on pre deployment leave for his 2nd deployment to Iraq and this year HE WILL BE HOME AGAIN...sorry we didnt think he would be home for Christmas but they let him 2 months earlier then they thought so i got an early gift!!!! and i really dont care what i get this year i am just so happy that he will b home...i wish all u girls could have them home for the holidays too....
