i am whitewashing a wooden box to put all my letters and cards in from my husband. what a huge pain, am i possibly doing this wrong?

im not really sure what whitewashing is- but i love this idea! i decoupaged a little box over the summer to put all of aarons cards and little things hes given me :)

um... whitewashing here in missouri = PAINTING WOOD WHITE!! lol

exactly :) except you can still see the natural grain of the wood :) and i am an idiot and didnt tape over the hardware. urg. :(

what i normally do it add water to white paint i would think that half paint half water would work...and if you cant see the wood grain as much as you want take a rag and wipe off some of the paint.

i dont think what i told you is the "true way" to white wash but it looks like you did! i think they used to add glue or lime or something not sure why but this way works.
