replacement unit?

My husband's orders say 020082 AB 2nd BDE REPL. When I looked it up it said it was a replacement unit. What does that mean? Has anyone had this before?

his he being sent to Iraq or Afghanistan?
if it is Iraq since we are so close to being done there they might just put replacement unit b/c he will be doing everything not just one thing...does that make sense it sort of makes sense to me which is what all military is to me :)

i just got off the phone with my hubby and he said that when he gets to where ever he is going they will tell him what he is doing based off of what they need done.

It is the inprocessing unit. Like here at Campbell it is 20th replacement.
