What is the best thing about the base/post/camp that you are stationed at (or the one you are closest to)?

hmm that's a good question. I think the commissary is the best benefit. I really do save a ton of money shopping there instead of the local grocery store...even though the produce sucks so I go to the reg grocery store for that...which makes two trips. But still totally worth it. I'm not sure what I like best about it though. I'm a total nerd and I think the whole thing is really cool haha so who knows...

lets see...i love the fact that i can go to the beach on base and not deal with crowds of people. but i think what i like best is that its close to all sorts of stuff thats outside the base. i love the area, and the waether.

I am also one who loves the commisary! I love this area in general. It's very different from backhome and I enjoy that change of pace.

um...everything. I'm like 15 minutes away from a mall, target and huge walmart and a college. I'm like 2 hours away from Topeka and like 2 hours away from Wichita and like a little bit longer i think to KC which has tons of crap. The weather is nice here and the people are awesome. Also my husband isnt sitting at work until 7 everyday doing nothing like it was at ft stewart. we have a brand new px and commissary so i just like everything!! its great! plus i get to make fun of all the yankees while they make fun of me!!

well we live on a 1way street, the kids school is 3 miles from here, the commissary is 3 1/2 miles, we have a shoppette 1/2 mile, william works 10 mins from here...if you go offpost theres a strip with resturants, 4 exits up theres biglots kmart, chuck e cheese, monkey joes, we are 15 mins from the mall, there is so much to do... we are 15miles from the alabama line..theres a huge campground called uchee creek, its connected to ft benning. they have big lake chalets and cabins there, i have no complaints i absolutely love it here....oh and im only 5 hours from home instead of the dreadful 12!

I have yet to go on base, it is not far from my house, but now that my stupid clutch went out of my car I am riding with friends to work... ugh... my husbands MOS is light wheel mechanic to he can fix it when his AIT is over.... but that is Jan or Feb.. ugh.... oh well i will go to base someday!

i love that there is 3 sonics all around the base (im a huge fan of sonic) and that there is a dunk'n doughnuts on base (again about food wow) umm other then that not a huge fan of base b/c my husband hates being there and i cant say the C store b/c i work at a store that i can get everything (including great produce and flowers) at a discounted price b/c im an employee!!! that and im more of a mountain girl then ocean and there is no mountains around :(

um... the best thing about fort bliss where the hubs was stationed... ITS CLEAN. Sorry el paso is dirty lol and at least base was clean!
