Okay this is a pay question...Bryan is reclassing right now and is having money deducted from his check to pay for his meals, is this supposed to happen? Do they provide him money and then take it out when he uses his meal card? Thanks!

They are supposed to give BAS then when he uses it they deduct the money from that. In AIT Adam never used all of it since he would eat out on the weekends he would have pass so we we always got some extra money. I would think it would be the same even if reclassing. Good Luck!

I'm just going to ditto Kira.

I usually notice BAS on his LES and then a deduction.

I have another reclass question. Josh wants to reclass but his unit keeps denying him. Is this common? He's currently a medic but wants to look into something else. You ladies have any suggestions or any related experiences?

scotts a marine so it might be different....but they only let him reclass if theres an opening for it.

John is in a reserve unit and just reclassed they made him wait until there was an open spot... well more like they made him reclass and fill an open spot. He had to fill out paperwork in the end to get his money for meals and such.

Yeah there has to be an opening for whatever it is he wants to reclass for. If there is something specific, he could always transfer units to one that does have the slot he wants. Guard and reserve units are a little more picky about letting them do that I believe.
