I just walked by a vanilla candle and it made me think of this...
So we all had those foods and smells that we craved during our pregnancies. Do any of you gets sick if you smell those things now? For example when I was pregnant I LOVED the smell of vanilla. If I smell it now I feel nauseas. I can't appreciate subway anymore. Some times just walking in there makes me sick. :barf:And as crazy as it sounds certain songs that I listened to over and over again in my first trimester when I was nauseas 24/7 will make me feel that way now when I hear them. Like Justin Timberlake "What Goes Around". lol. Maybe it's a psychological thing? So am I the only crazy one here or does this happen more often than I think?

For me, I couldn't eat chicken with DS#3 so I eat it like it's going out of style now. But that's about it.

I still refuse to eat Arby's and Oreo cookies. I had those when I was pregnant and it made me sooo sick! But pretty much everything made me puke. I threw up everyday for the first 5 months I was pregnant. lol but those 2 items just stick with me and I've never had them since. lol

wow! It sounds like so muctobe pregnant!! :nanypoo:

Hopefully I wont have to worry about that for a long time! (Thats the one good thing about Ryan being away, I dont have to worry about a late period!!!!)

Why do you call your kids DS? It sounds like a cute nickname for them all but I am guessing there is something behind it.

Hope you are feeling better after getting that whif of vanilla!!!!!!!:)

Chinese will never be the same for me..lmfao.. I boycotted it for 3 yrs. But now that adrian is 6 I am ok with it once in a while... I think it is very normal to not want something that made you sick.

I craved bbq with david and i ate it about every other day. Now i'm not such a big fan. eww. And lemons, with Kayla. I ate those things because it was the only thing that helped me not puke. Now i dont really even like the smell. and i cant eat them.

I once heard that if you are craving something there is something in that food that the baby nutritionally needs. No idea if that's true.

Same thing with my daughter. Well I didn't have it that bad, but I still had it and she had one little patch of hair until just recently and she's now 14 months old.

Oreo cravings must be common with pregnancies. With my son for breakfast I would eat chocolate covered oreos with chocolate milk. I also loved Dill Pickles with Peppermint Ice Cream (I would hollow out the pickle and fill it with Ice Cream). We would always go to this Chinese Restaurant in German, and I also ate at Pizza Hut like it was going out of style. With our daughter I was so sick all the time I could only drink gatorade that was watered down. I can't stand it now, but at the time I was constantly drinking it. I couldn't stand the smell of hamburger cooking, and it took quite a few years to get over that. My hubby was without homemade burgers for quite awhile lol.

I have never heard of anyone filling pickles with icecream. lol. That's a new one. Your chocolate thing sounds like my tomato thing. I would dip tomato sandwiches in tomato soup and drink V8 like it was my last meal. What a trooper your husband was. I love homemade burgers!
