potato pancakes!!

So I never cooked at home. Sad I know! But now I'm on my own with Jamie and decided that I wanted potato pancakes so I looked up a quick recipe and kinda winged it! And I figured they wouldn't turn out my first try. Boy was I wrong!! I'm so impressed with how good they turned out!!! I'm shocked! Haha just thought I'd share my excitement!!

Danie I got your PM thanks!!! Lana potato pancakes are pancakes made with grated potatoes and stuff a lot like hash browns? I guess that's what they make me think of!

My mom makes some kind of mashed potato pancakes that are AMAZING...I'll have to see if I can hunt down that recipe.

Do you mean Indian Scones? They are flat, round bread that is fried and you can put whatever you want on it? I love mine with lots of butter and cinnamon & sugar. It is to die for!!

ok ive never had potato pancakes!! is that a northern thing? i know arbys does like a potato cake or something but ive never had that either!!

DUDE ive never heard of potatoe pancakes or the indian stuff...

but i DO THINK a recipe section is a GREAT idea!! i need some, i got a big ol empty cookbook as a wedding gift haha, my SIL said she was planning on fillign it with recipes but didnt have time-whoops! ha so yeah,i need to get on it and start learning how to cook before joey gets back so i can be a good wife :)

Potato Pancakes are huge up here. I've never had them, but a lot of Mom & Pop diners sell them. That and Pierogies.

no its like a peice of bread dipped into pancake mix... kinda like frenchtoast but pancake instead of egg mix... you know... then make it up just like you do pancakes and its like wow amazing
