Hey everyone. I'm Kylie. I live in Ohio but attend college at Wheeling Jesuit University. I met my boyfriend Justin while living in Wheeling. He leaves for training in December. I'm getting really anxious for him to leave. I'm still uneasy about the whole idea but I know I have to be strong for him. I love sports and I play soccer at my school. I live on a farm and wouldn't change my country life for anything. Justin and I are planning on getting married in a few years once we're both better off.

I'm Meredith (23) married to Mike (25) We're stationed at Ft Lewis, WA. He's a cav scout. We're leaving for predeployment leave this Friday and actually driving through Ohio :) We have family in NJ, VT, and NH. This is my second deployment, his 4th and I'll be moving home to NJ to stay with my family while he's away. I played lots of soccer when I was younger ;) I graduated from Springfield College in 2008 with a BS in athletic training but I'm unemployed thanks to moving again. I'm hoping to get my master in teaching high school bio.

What are you majoring in and what branch is your bf in/joining??

Welcome to MTMH! We have lots of girls here in different stages of military relationships and we most definitely have tons of people to tell you about their experiences and how to help prepare for things the military throws at you!

I'm majoring in nursing with a minor in Spanish. Justin is joining the Navy. I can't believe Mike has been deployed 4 times!!! That's crazy. I just hope that I can deal with all the stuff thats coming my way...its going to be here before I know it, whether I'm ready or not.

im lindsay (20) and im engaged to aaron (23) he deployed back in december but only a few more months and he will be back home!! I go to college and will be graduating in the fall of 2010, we plan on getting married not too long after that :)

thats very true, you do have to stay strong- but this site is definitely a big help and its nice to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing and understand :)

im kelly, 22, and married to my soldier joey. he's in germany right now processing out of the army, and will begin his 2 yrs reserve this fall. i cant wait to have him home! i work full time here in GA and am just counting the days till hes home with me!

im kathryn (22) and my boyfriends name is also justin! :) hes a marine and we are days away from finishing up our 1st deployment!!! hes stationed out at camp pendleton in cali and i live in houston, tx. ill see him next month when he comes down in leave. im also new to all of this. justin and i started dating in january and these girls have been a god send!!! they are so amazing and so supportive and they are all like sisters to me now. i hope youll feel the same way!

WELCOME! Im kristi 20 and a nursing student. 2 more years left!! I am also a college athlete, i run cross country and just quit track, but XC might be out too, im battling a hip injury. I just got married, and my soldier John-Mark is currently deployed to iraq. Im in ROTC so after I graduate Ill be off to the Army Nursing Corps myself!!!

im sherry 26 married to william for 6 years, we have 3 lil boys! we have been in the army for 4 years this coming nov! we lived at fort knox for 2 years, survived our first deployment, then he reinlisted and we moved to benning! we have been here a lil over a year now! we love traveling and seeing new places we probably would have never seen if we hadnt joined up! well i hope you like it here, the ladies are awesome! welcome and i look forward to knowing you better soon! hugs!

I'm Kira my DH is in the Army and we just moved to our first duty station at Fort Campbell Kentucky so we are new to the military as well. We have 2 boys ages 4 and 2.

Honestly throughout training my boys definately kept me going. We enjoyed writing letters and waiting by the phone. I worked part time for a little while then became a SAHM and that's when it go tough. So I kept myself busy, walking the mall, going to the farm, park, feeding the animals, whatever I could do I did. We had a great time, honestly I sort of miss it..lol.

Now as far as relatioship any good relationship needs communication but it's that much tougher to communicate because of the demands of the military. In the beginning write as many letters as you can!!

These ladies are great and we'll be here for you even when the time gets tough. You have to be strong but being a Military girlfriend/fiance/wife will make you even stronger!!

Hi Kylie! I'm Colleen, and my soldier is in the Army currently on his first deployment in Iraq. I am an elementary school teacher, and also love playing sports! We are stationed at Ft. Wainwright, AK and believe me, I know what you mean about not ever thinking you would be affected by the military. But it is a great life, which has it's up's and down's and these girls are here to help you throughout every journey!

Hi Kylie! Welcome, I'm Christy (31) and I'm engaged to Jason (26). He's a full time reservist and we live in the Cleveland area. What part of Ohio are you from? I've lived here my whole life. I was in the legal field until I was layed off and took the summer off. Jason did his first deployment last year. Welcome to the site! The girls here are awesome and were amazing during Jasons deployment. I'm not sure what I would have done without them. Glad you found us and I can't wait to get to know you!!!

Im Mary 20 and my husband Matt 20 is in the Army. He's currently deployed in Iraq and is normally stationed at Fort Wainwright, AK. We're both from South Jersey and met and dated all through high school. Right now I'm waiting to get a grant to go back to college to be a bridal consultant and get an associates in business. We have no children yet but we're planning on working on that when he gets back from his deployment ;)
