I hate finding out from other people that my boy has travel plans. I tell him mostly everything going on with me..when I'm going to shows taking off for the weekend etc. I found out tonight from my friend/his SIL that he is going to Cali.

I just don't get why he wouldn't tell me before now. It makes me feel like either he doesn't want me to know or I'm just not that high up on his list of people to tell. Quite possibly I am over reacting here. But I thought I would ask. Those of you with boyfriends or who are engaged. Does your guy ever do this to you?

When Nick was in AIT, he would do this to me all the time. I finally sat him down and made it clear that if I wasn't on his priority list then I don't want to be with him. It was an empty threat of course, but he finally realized that he didn't want to lose me either way. I just sat him down and talked to him. Told him how I feel how unfair it is that I base my entire life around him and he doesn't give me the same courtesy. Just talk to him.

I will talk to him about it when I see him. It just bugs me. It seems like I'm always the last to know. Like on New Years. I got out of working only to have him bail on plans with me the morning of. Part of it is he's young. I don't think he realizes that it hurts me when he doesn't keep me informed. And he for sure doesn't realize just how much I have rearranged my life to make room for him in it. I think when I see him I'll give him a giant kiss and then whack him in the forehead for being a shit. Sounds fair to me.

lol it's definitely the age. Nick is 21 too and he turns 22 in April. And even the year between us is significant. They take FOREVER TO MATURE. :p

I'm 3 yrs older than my SO. Sometimes I think they just don't think to tell us as a courtesy. Not that we are being like parents, but sometimes I think they may not even think about it. I don't know...they puzzle me with how they think sometimes. I know I tell him as a courtesy so he can know...not for permission, but just to let you know. Is it necessarily bad that he doesn't tell you...it depends on where he is going. Just have a talk with him and explain it to him.

Well it's not really that he's going it's just the fact that he hasn't told me I guess. It makes me wonder what else he hasn't told me. I hate being like that but he brings it out in me. Especially lately. It was easier before when he wasn't my boy and I could just write him off when he did somethin like this.

I am sure he doesnt mean anything by it and you probably just need to talk to him. Remind him that you care and you would like to know what is going on. Maybe he just needs to remember to open his eyes and realize how important you are!!

And lastly... remember in the end, boys will be boys!:mafia:
