Hahah....mine differ day to day. Sometimes I send him goofy silly things like silly string, small water guns, and toys like that. Other days I send him foods and treats he likes to eat, books he might enjoy reading, pictures, and we have a USB drive we put pictures/videos/word document letters/music on and send back and forth. Chap stick, letters, army shirts if he needs any, silly underwear that I think are funny...etc. and movies he might like. Just a bunch of stuff.

If he likes chocolate now would be the time to send it before it starts getting warm again.

Oh and yeah, USB is a good idea
Matt has one and thank god b/c his computer died and he lost all his info that was on it but luckily most of the stuff was on his USB and if he doesn't have his own computer you can still e-mail him pictures and then he can put them on it! :)

Honestly, I just go to walmart or dollar store and find the most random stuff haha
we both have a silly sense of humor so I normally send funny things along with some necessities: foods, wipes, shampoo, etc.

Also, something I regularly put in is a magazine. I usually vary between military guns and cars haha it's something useful to help pass the time if they're not busy

I would always send stuff to try and entertain D so I bought him like Uno Cards and these little finger fighter guys and i think one time i even sent a mini etch a sketch or whatever those things are called... if your SO is a thinker you could send like crossword puzzles (make one if you have the time... like stuff about yall lol) << wow i had to stop because that is really like one of the best ideas i've ever had and i'm totally doing that on D's next deployment... anyway or like sudoku if he likes that

For my son I send candy, small hand held cheapie games and toys. Him and his buddies love that. When he was at AIT I sent him a Coloring book with big boy crayons. He had to open the package in front of his SGT and he bust out laughing. My son thought they were awesome and believe it or not, him and his buds made play dates on Sundays to color!
His SGT did say his Mom was crazy. LOL

Another thing I made were anti stress dolls by the bunches and sent them to him. He said he would get a box and it wouldn't even make it out of the post office! All the guys wanted one.

Oh half my point in ever sending anything to D is to embarrass him! lol we're both really sarcastic like that so while he's on base now (not on deployments) I send him stuff every once in a while and every time I send it in GIANT PINK BOXES! lol Like if i don't have a pink box, I'll buy neon pink paper and wrap the box in it! hahaha its my favorite thing to do!

Anti Stress dolls are made in any shape as long as they have an arm or corner they can hang on to while they beat on it to relieve stress. They are made from strong material and I always put funny faces on them, big button eyes and curly ribbon or wool hair. I made some shaped like candy canes once too.

hahaha i've done the pink before. His letters in AIT were ALWAYS written on pink paper and the envelopes were always decorated. He'd get ragged on by all the guys but then I'd send cookies and he said everyone was suddenly saying how cool I was instead of how whipped he is haha. I've been tempted to send him a pair of (CLEAN) underwear just to screw with him. But I think he really would kill me.

Candy, Try something home made if you can, like I sent Jason my pretzels that I make and he loved them. Kool Aid Drink packets, chips (combos, pringles, etc.) Jason is into RC Cars so I would send him the magazines that would come in the mail for him. Anything fun you can think of. Oh, Nerf guns are always good! They have fun with them.

Bruce and I live to tease our kids. When Cade was little and in band, Bruce would wait for his solo, then stand up and scream " That's my baby" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At first Cade would hide but after many incidents along the same lines he is now impervious to us. He just laughs and says, "Yup that's my parents"

Cade and Casey both are very good actors. They have both won awards in high school and that always gave us ammunition.

I don't remember the website right now, but there is a group of people who got together and they make sock monkeys for the troops. During the last deployment, I put my husband's name in and they not only sent him one, but they sent my kids one as well. It has a red heart that shows through the material. My husband packed that around every time they went on mission. He said it was their good luck charm. I just thought that was really cool. It was something that we had at home, and he had over there. Whenever we got really lonely, we would hug the monkey and know that he was able to send the "hug" to our hero.
