apparently i have a suprise coming my way from my hubs, no idea. he told me i owe him big--and he's getting his harley soon lol. i told him i WANT him to have his harley but it just costs some moolah--im thinking he got me the Kindle...ive been askin for it and naggin about it lol but finally gave up bc he said No--then he said maybe next payday...then he said no...and now i have a suprise coming?
im THINKING its a Kindle!
woooo! he said tomorrow or tuesday ill find out :)

my only thing is.. a kindle does not = a harley, sorry lol.

I hope it's a kindle! I really love mine! It's super cool! I went on the kindle store accessories page and picked out a screen protector and a sweet purple leather cover.

So far my only concern with the kindle is that the pages aren't numbered like a book would be so if I were discussing a certain passage in the book it would be ridiculously hard to find it....but that's small potatoes. The thing is so damn awesome I don't think I really care that much lol. I have kindle email now, not that I really need another email address haha. It stores over 1000 books/magazines/newspapers. You can purchase a book from anywhere cause it uses what they call Whisper net which works like the internet on a cell phone so you should be able to get it pretty much everywhere. (also they're a bit cheaper then buying the new book at retail price - I found some of the smutty romance novels I read for free so that's cool) We had shotty cell service at the RV park this weekend but my kindle had no problems! It took like seconds to download my book! What else, ohh the dictionary function is pretty cool. You just put the cursor next to the word you don't know and the definition pops up on the bottom of the screen. You can take notes and "highlight" (really underlining) your books if you're a person who likes to take notes. Also you register your kindle to your amazon account and everything you download to your kindle including the notes and stuff you make get backed up to a storage server....all for free! It uses some type of ink dot technology where the screen looks like you're really reading a book and it's super easy to read outside in the sunlight. You can get on wiki and the web. hmmm I'm not sure what else I can think of but the damn thing is super freaking cool! I couldn't believe how skinny it is!! I'm totally in love with it and I would suggest it to anyone who reads the way I do! Oh it automatically saves the page you're on when you hit the home button! :) No more dog earring books!!

but i want a case to carry it in too :) i like the leather ones but theyre kinda pricey.
im getting way ahead of myself though lol cause im just assuming thats what it is!

im so glad you like it--it sounds AWESOME! the page number thing kinda sucks though...hmm..does it list chapters? like for the book club for instance, since it doesnt list page numbers..chapters would be helpful? idk. whatev i still want one lol

lol it def has the chapters listed! And I think theres a table of contents you can reach from your menu button but I haven't tried all the features yet. The leather ones are kinda pricey but I wanted something that opened and I could hold like a book because I was afraid I was going to dislike the fact that it wasn't an actual book. There are some things I just can't trade in for technology. I still use a planner and pen instead of a PDA. I just don't like them. I do like the gel skin though! That's what Mike said he would have bought. lol

agreed... but if I already had the iphone or itouch I wouldn't wanna invest in a kindle... it would seem a little redundant

spahr i actually got the app for Kindle on my iPhone--and i dont really like it, the screens too little and you dont get all the features the kindle has, on my phone i read it and thats it--the kindle does alot more and holds alot more.
BUT some people may like it! to each their own!

For real! Mike would tell me it was something else if I was right about what it was! He does it to me all the time. I knew that I was getting a ring for my birthday but he swore it was something else. Maybe he's a butt like Mike and you really are getting a Kindle!! I'll still keep my fingers crossed!

my kindle will be here tomorrow--the other junk should be here by the 25th if not earlier.
