Pictures and a Story

Well I only have two from Valentine's Day lol and they're basically the same but I like the close up one better... and then the other one we were just being silly at my parent's house because my mom is like a picture FREAK haha

So Valentine's day we went to this REALLY NICE really expensive steak house (thats why we were dressed up) and I called like 2 weeks before vday and we couldn't get reservations until TEN pm! so we went and saw a movie and then went there at like 9:30... so we were seated immediately and the waiter was getting our drink order and theres this lady like standing there waiting for him to finish and I was just like uh okay.. well he walks away and she introduces herself as Shelly, the owner of the restaurant... so she thanks D for his service and tells us her parents were in the military and anything we order is on the house! Honestly yall I started crying because I was just so amazed at how wonderful some people can be.. Its just... wow..
On an even crazier note, this was the best tasting steak I have EVER had in my entire life (and i really love steak) and it would have been totally worth every penny we would have paid for it! On top of that this couple that had been eating came up to us after their dinner and said some really nice things to him and the waiter told us they asked to pay for his glass of wine.

It was amazing yall and I just wanted to share because I think I forget sometimes how appreciative some people are because of the few ignorant that talk negatively... I hope all of yall had a wonderful weekend, too!

You're a very pretty, very happy couple!! And that's absolutely amazing of the woman who owned the restaurant! Makes you feel really proud doesn't it??

When Mike and I got engaged we ate at a fancy restaurant and then went into NYC to see the Christmas tree and while we were walking around the city people would come up and shake his hand and thank him....it made me very proud :) On another random note we have what Mike calls "the bridge people" every Saturday rain or shine they're out there on Freedom Bridge waving everyone who travels on and off post and to the traffic below them on the highway! I always honk my horn and wave :) And I agree with you one rotten apple seems to ruin the bunch, its very nice to see people supporting the military!! But you just have to remember that there are tons of people out there who really appreciate what our guys are doing for the country!!

& Lana you are way too sweet! but I will totally trade with you if you can give me some HEIGHT! lol because being right under 5'2" when your boyfriend is right over 6'3" makes it kind of annoying to be so short!

I agree! The compliments are the best cause they do seem to be so few and far between and they're always so extremely genuine! I'm glad they made your day!

A few days after Justin was deployed I was at a bar with some friends and this guy started talking to me and mentioned something about how my friends and I were just up there trying to pick up guys and I was like Umm..I am NOT! My boyfriend was just recently deployed so THAT's why I'm not with him!Lol So this other guy that I dont know who was sitting a few seats down heard me say that and started saying how much he respects me and every girlfriend/wife/fiance that's with someone in the military. So I thanked him and whatnot and when I went to pay for my tab he had already paid for it!!! :) People like that make me very proud. Oh and I was so excited to tell Justin that I got free drinks thanks to him..LOL He just laughed at me :)

i love stories like these :) ive only had it happen to me a couple times but when it does-it brings tears to my eyes and makes me so proud and appreciative :)
i am SO proud to be an army wife!!! so proud of my husband-and appreciate it when people are NICE and not negative!
