so i got pulled over just a bit ago on my way home from work. actually...i was just about home. i got pulled over on my street.
i live off a busy road in a nice little nighborhood. the whole entire length of the busy road the right lane is a 'right turn only' lane. BUT there's like eight streets you can make a right on and it never gives you an ultimateum. [you like like right lane must turn right by this street] anyways, i always ride the right lane the whole way until my street. WELL, of all nights i'm actually not in the right lane the whole way, one street before mine i get in that lane. a cop [wait, a metro transit police...not even state or county, so it's not even his district.] cuts through two lanes of traffic and gets on my ass. i turn my right turn signal on right as he turns his lights on. [those anoying red and blue lights and flashing his brights at me as if i don't notice fireworks in my mirror] i turn onto MY STREET. i have my license ready to show...he walks up with his stupid flashlight blinding me and asks 'what were you doing in this lane?' i responded 'turning onto my street. i live here.' showed him my license and he walks back to his car. he comes back after again taking his sweet time and tells me my license is suspended. [which it was like three years ago and i had to take some improvement class] luckily i keep the receipt from that class in my wallet. i showed that to him. he walks back to his car. comes back and informs me that he should arrest me. and when i ask why he says i'm catching an attitude and says i don't want this to get any worse. i'm like really dude? i live on this street. i made a right onto my street.
anyways, long story short he let me go. thank god. i was in no mood to be arrested or get written a ticket. but seriously? the cop wasn't even in my district. my license is valid. AND i was making a right. apparently my support or troops, volunteer county firefighters, loved by a firefighter, other firefigher and aire force stickers and firefighting badges AND pictures of D in uniform didn't work this time. my guess is he was jealous. i need to get a cop sticker.
