let me introduce myself....

Hi Everyone! My name is Nicole. I'm 19 years old (20 in Sept.), I am a very sporty girl, I love traveling, drawing, taking pictures...Oh and yes, I'm currently the girlfriend of Paul S.(20) an U.S. Army Infantry Soldier. We met back in middle school and started dating our freshman year of high school, making this our 5th year together, but it was a rocky start with an off and on relationship due to family drama, but now we're going strong and not looking back. We both recently graduated high school and thats where things got harder...The Army stationed him out in Washington State and I'm back at home (CLEAR ACROSS THE COUNTRY!!!) in Pennsylvania. I wanted to go with him but my dream was to attend Penn State and he said he couldn't take that from me. So while he is doing his thing, my thing is being a full-time student at Penn State working for an engineering degree along with a full-time military girlfriend answering to phone calls or text messages at the most random times of the day and night and sometimes even during class. But this year is going to probably be the hardest yet to come. My boyfriend comes home within the next month for leave and its the first time I've seen him in over a year. Some of his army friends have been shooting rumors my way that I may be becoming Mrs. Paul S., but thats not everything....He is being deployed to Iraq, and it's also the month we started dating, and our birthdays. Starting September, my boyfriend who means the world to me leaves for a 15 month tour, and needless to say I'm scaried beyond belief, but I know we can make it, even though people doubt us, they just don't understand the whole relationship thing and how seeing each other for two weeks out of the entire year actually works and how it is considered a relationship.

Welcome! I'm Spahr 20 and am also a September baby! My boyfriend Charlie is 21 and leaving for Marine Boot Camp the begining of August, only a few weeks after our baby is born. I'm sure you guys will do just fine with him being gone! It sounds like you guys have astrong enough relationship to withstand all the things a deployment may throw your way! Congrats on *maybe* becoming Mrs.Paul! That is always exciting! These girls are absolutely awesome and will help you through everything they possibly can! Don't be shy and jump right in!

Oh my gosh, thats so cool! I don't really know many people with September birthdays and thanks! I'm super excited because he comes home soon so we'll see how that all goes, being he planned out the entire two weeks he's home. I really can't wait!

Hi Nicole, I'm Meredith! My husband is stationed at Ft Lewis, WA! He will also be deploying sometime in September but he's a cavalry scout. I understand how hard it can be to be clear across the country from one another! Mike's been stationed here for 4 years and before getting married I was in school in MA or at home in NJ. I'll be moving back to NJ when Mike leaves to be closer to family. 3000 miles is A LOT. This is my 2nd (Mike's 4th) deployment and since our guys are going over at the same time feel freeeee to IM/PM me any time you want!! You're always welcome to lean on me! I know it seems like a lot right now but just hang in there!

im sherry 26 married to william for 6 years, we have 3 lil boys! chris is 5 1/2, josh is 4 and darren will be 10mo next week!! we have been in the army for almost 4 years, we lived at ft knox for 2 yrs & survived our first deployment, before he reinlisted and we moved to benning! im a sahm anxiously nervously waiting for school to start in august! my oldest goes into kindergarden and my middle goes into prek im excited but nervous to be away from them after being home with them for such a long time!! well the ladies here are amazing! i look forward to knowing you better!! hugs!

WLECOME!!! im kristi 20 and living in missouri. I just married my soldier May 5th, the day before he deployed to iraq for 12-15 months. he was stationed out of fort bliss texas(hehe i missed the entire week before finals to see him and get married!!). So i know what you mean about being away. The closest him and I have ever lived is about 6.5 hours away from each other!

Im finishing up nursing school too. I also run cross country and track at my university (but may be done in august due to a hip injury, it all depends...) 2 more years left, then Im off to the ARMY NURSING CORPS myself!!!

Feel free to JUMP right in, the girls are super nice here. I hope you like it! Don't be afarid to talk to me about anything, I know how hard being a full time student with a relationship in the army is! Ive been doing it since I was a senior in highschool! John-Mark and I have also had our rough times (fighting, drug addictions, family drama, you name it we have been through it) but everything worked out for the best, and all the hard times and "Breakups" just taught me to be a better person and showed me that I CANT LIVE MY LIFE WITHOUT HIM.

I am engaged to Aaron, who is currently deployed and will be home in the next couple of months, its been hard but we've gotten through it. The deployment seems like it is going to take forever, and some days are slower than others but all and all it goes by pretty fast!! You will love this site, there are so many awesome girls to talk to about whatever is on your mind! We'll be here for you through the whole deployment and it makes things a lot easier when you have someone to relate to!
