Ft. Riley Kansas

Just incase anyone goes here. Its freaking awesome!!!!!!! The commissary is new, The px is new, The mini mall is nice. The people on post are really helpful....the housing is nice. The housing area is really big and pretty. Its just really nice. Manhattan is like 20 minutes away...with a mall, target, walmart, kmart, hobby lobby, petco, best buy, bed bath and beyond, places to eat...everything. If your into music like me...concerts come around pretty close to here. Junction city is really small but its got some basic stuff if you need it. The wizard of oz museum is close to here....they have some zoo's close to here, i think a water park is close to here, Theres tons of state parks with camping. So if you get stationed here in my opinion you'll like it!!!

GUESS what... Riley is like 3 hours from here!!! But believe it or not Riley and Leavenworth are both VERY VERY nice places to live! Everything is just recently updated on them... anddd JM might be moving there after his deployment!!!! But manhattan has TONS to do, its a college town, what do you expect!

I didnt realize you were that close!! I love it here. I'm not use to this whole it being hot outside but with a cool breeze thing! I havent broke a sweat since i've been here!! its freaking awesomeness!! I cant wait to go to the Wizard of OZ museum!! That will be awesome!!

You should see how far of a drive it is to the Kansas City speedway (the big nascar race track in kansas city, KS)... Maybe we could meet up there for some shopping and dinner?? There is a HUGE outdoor shopping mall there!

my hubby was stationed there before he got stationed at ft. campbell and man was my drive long and boring bc it was like 9 hours from where i was at.
