So today I had to meet with our Brigade Nurse Counselor... let me just say CPT L is AMAZING. We decided that I am too busy to go to LTC this summer which is not bad at all, it allows me more free time and I wont have to worry about making up a week of my summer class... so that is a good thing!

We got to talking about my life and how things were going, and I told her I just got engaged to a soldier, and she started making notes of stuff to help me out with in the future! She made notes for my senior year to remember to fill out the married couples forms, and that my senior year the army nursing corps need to start working with the field artillery people to get us housed together at the same base. I just found out nurses for our first duty station can only get 9 different posts (one of which is bliss!!)... but after our first duty station we can go ANYWHERE. She was sooo helpful... needless to say it has been scaring me so much. Everyone in ROTC has been like you will be and officer he will be enlisted its going to be so hard and blah blah blah... and it was scaring me soooo much. But she put my mind at ease... she even told me the best thing to do since nursing school is so demanding is to have a JOP wedding, then have the "real thing" later. She said NO girl wants that, but she said she thinks its the best thing for me, and the best thing for me and him if we want to be at the same base as soon as I graduate! She also said it will be the least stressful, but she definitely told me that me and him should be married before I graduate, unless he is 100% positive he is getting out after his contract is up.. she was just so helpful. I just feel like after our COL bitching me out (then to find out he gave his blessing to 2 of my teammates and fellow ROTC kids when they got engaged) that everyone is so against this marriage and keeps looking at the negatives in it. CPT L was awesome... she was so excited and wanted to see my ring and all of that. Then she wanted to know all about him and everything... it was just really really good that she cared... and that she is going to do everything in her power to get me and him on the same base when I graduate so we can live like a married couple... and not worlds away like we are now!!

I feel 100000000x better today about my future... especially as JM's WIFE!!!

I absolutely love CPT L! She is the coolest... lol I really felt like she was my mom trying to help me out and give me motherly advice! She just got married to a Army guy too... so she knows all about the dual military thing!

Nice to know you feel better about the future. It can be scary sometimes. See that's why you shouldn't of let McDreamy go. Him being a combat medic and all. LOL
