I'm fucking furious! I've been trying really hard to stay busy and get back in shape cause I'm getting so fat I look 3 months preggo but that's besides the point lol. I got in my car this morning and went to turn it on and it turned over and then made a sound like something landed on the car....well being under a tree I assumed something really landed on the car. I try again, it turns over and the engine continues to rev well over the red line and didn't stop until I turned the car off. It was sooo loud that my apt manager came out to check on me! Well as you know Mike's not home and his truck is at Ft Lewis cause he had to drive himself down there after he dropped me off at the aiport. Ironic thing is I was going to bring his truck home with me from the gym today so I could wash it for him! Well my gf is going to take me to get it but she has to work today so it won't be until after 8pm. No biggie, it's not like I have anything important to do it's just ridiculously frustrating. And when I get mad I cry which I hate because it makes me feel whiney and weak. So I text Mike asking him to call me when he gets it because I don't know the details of our car insurance or my power train warranty and I know if I call my insurance agent (which is what Mike's going to tell me to do) I'm just gunna start crying I'm so mad lol. So I'm going to wait until tomorrow when I'm cooled off a bit. I'm mad that it broke, that I don't know anything about cars to fix it, that Mike's not here to talk me through getting it fixed, that I can't just pick up the phone and call him, and that the chaplain jinxed me! lol. He wrote a very sweet email to the wives yesterday and in it her wrote "if it can go wrong it will!" Well everything was fine till you said that jerk!

I'm just mad at myself for being helpless. I'm so mad I'm considering taking in one of the little stray kittens...I hate cats and I'm allergic to them so that says a lot lol.

Can I just have Mike back please? :beggin: I'm not supposed to feel this helpless when he's not even overseas!

Grrr! That sucks! I'm sorry girl! I asked my ex what could be wrong with it (he's a mechanic) and he said the TPS Sensor..computer..or Physical Cable. I don't know if that helps any but I thought I would ask! lol Hope you have a better day and it gets fixed! :hugs:

Mere what is it with cars? JM car is still sitting at my house with a blow out engine! lol. LOVE YA girl. Stay strong. I know what you mean feeling helpless. Try having a rental company telling you you cant rent from them cause your husband cant sign the paper work, even though he wont live with you. So you have to call his FRG leader in tears who calls rear D and gets ahold of someone in charge so they call you and you are still in tears! Lol. I am sure that guy thinks Im a HUGE baby cause I was bawling trying to explain what the rental company was doing to me! lol. Stay strong.

You can always just come live with me in missouri when mike is deployed. Then we can bitch together and feel completely LOST without our husbands TOGETHER!!!

For real! My car is STILL in the shop from a few weeks ago with that post I sent! NO ONE can figure out why it keeps dying! They've checked every wire, every fuse..every little thing that it could possibly be and they can't find anything!!! I hate paying for a car I'm not driving! lol

Meredith your not weak your human! I know I haven't known you for long or know you personally but you are one of the strongest military wives I know ( the same with every single lady here and that's why I love it here ).

There were times, although I never expressed them here, that I thought I was going to die with Adam gone. So many things went wrong when he left. After my Gabe came home from the hospital I actually had a new view on my miserable life, I realized how strong I really was.

It's tough now and it may get tougher but we are all here for you!

Kathryn, I thought of you when I was crying to my mom! You and I have some type of really bad mojo goin on! First the skin funk and now our cars! I think we need to stay away from one another ;) Also, my dad thinks that is could have possibly been something as simple as the fan belt snapping and screwing the the comp like your friend or it could be much worse. My tranny's been acting a little funny and it's old with a lot of miles so it was only a matter of time....just bad timing that's all! :)

Kira, you're very sweet! Thanks for having faith in me when I'm not having it in myself!

I know I'm always the do it here and now type (lol) but sometimes putting things off is not too bad! Oh and please dont adopt a kitty if you're allergic! Don't need you gettin all sick and disappearing on us!!!

I always find kicking the offending object always makes me feel SO much better!! So I say you just take it out on the car :P maybe a few kicks will make it start! I'm sorry you feel so helpless, but it's a one time thing and you're a tough chick! Hey, if this happened on a better day I bet you would have lifted the car over your head and walked to the garage, and then ran the whole way to get his truck ;)

cheer up we love you!!

well ladies I'm feeling much better today and I'm about to start making some phone calls. I'm about to call our insurance company to see if towing is in our plan or not. When we bought the car since it had so many miles on it and we wanted to finance it the bank that financed us said we could have it if we were willing to pay an extra 2000 for a power train warranty. I have to look at the terms of service but if our car insurance doesn't cover it the warranty might cover both the towing and hopefully whatever is wrong with it if it's really expensive lol. ugh what a headache! but I have Mike's car now so at least I'm not stuck in the house!

I reallllly love my car and we're still paying for it. We bought it a year ago with a ton of miles on it knowing that we were bound to encounter some problems with it. Luckily we have a power train warranty on it so the max I pay is 200 bucks and maybe some of the towing fee if that goes over 100. We thought about selling it when I move home but I really love the car too much to give it up! It was what I wanted before I could drive lol. It's just frustrating that it had to happen while Mike was away!

I just have to find a "good mechanic" which my father says is like trying to find a good dr...you have to find it by word of mouth. So I asked the maintenance guy at me apartment complex lol. He's the type that would know these things. He does all his own work but he's going to get the name of his son's mechanic for me :) So hopefully everything will work out for me!
