Freaking ROTC

So I had to vent about this. My day was going half way okay despite being sick and getting up at 4am for PT test. Well even with being sick I still got a 300 on it, and found out I lost almost 5 lbs since my last one!! (and wasnt even trying).. buttt our Guy in charge (who I wont name him or his rank) was like Kristi is that an engagement ring, and I said yes it was and he shook his head and told me better luck on my second marriage. I WAS SOOOOO PISSED. Needless to say he had NO right to say that to me. And then he found out JM was in the army and made another comment about how I would be making more money and blah blah blah... I had NO clue where he was going with this point and then he said its the 21 century and I Need to rethink some things... sorry my mom and dad are just fine. Mom is doing exactly what I am, nursing, and dad did exactly what JM did, joined the military at a young age... Mom and Dad are still going strong after 35 years of marriage... I was just sooo pissed. SOrry you don't marry a person for their money... you marry a PERSON because they are just that A PERSON. It just made me so mad... maybe with being sick i overracted... but to me he had NO right to say that to me. He knows NOTHING about me and John-Mark, marriage isn't easy, it takes work on both parts... but for him to just say better luck on your second marriage it pissed me off. :rant:

I agree with Christy, Mike's 24 and in my opinion that's young to get married and he comes home shaking his head at some of the younger guys too...it's not you so much but more the way army marriages tend to go unfortunately they get married young, a lot of them can't handle it and they end poorly....I wouldn't take it personally I'm sure he would have said it to anyone of the people in your ROTC.

I just found out today why COL is soooooo angry... when he got back from Afghanistan right before school started... he came home to a letter at his apartment from his wife who decided to leave him while he was deployed...
