I thought we could all use some happy things about being a military SO. I know I am the least experienced but I thought we could all share why we would rather be a military gf/wife/fiancee than a civilian SO!
Hmmm...
I am excited about having financial stability.
Excited for a housing allowance!!
And who doesnt love a man in uniform?? :flyinangel:

Thanks for posting back!! (This is my first topic I posted) I love your two babies, they look adorable!! :):)
I also love being proud enough to say I am dating a Marine (even tho he is still in boot camp) and all the comfy tees/sweats, etc that I already took from him!

The pride that comes with the knowledge that our men are doing brave and great things!
The medical and stability is great as well.

knowing that the love you share with eachother is more precious and genuine than any other civilian could know. learning not to take the little things for granted anymore. i believe the life learning experiences are the best part.

I love me a man in uniform! :)
Haha definitely inheriting new clothes, I can't even count how many army tshirts and sweat pants I have! :) Dog tags... and I think the distance really enhances everything three fold. Like getting phone calls is three times as exciting - letters are AMAZING, and packages are unbelievable. Not to mention the home coming :)

I would say being able to have learned how important time is and precious it is because at any given moment, it could be taken away from you with a deployment.

I have love letters. How many women really get love letters any more?? I'd have to say we're in the minority with that.
Communication skills are a bazillion times better because if you can't talk things out...there is no relationship....and you're relationship isn't based on the physical aspects of a relationship...it's not about where he takes you or how he entertains you...or even the sex (altho it's pretty damn good)

Hmm I am proud of him and the work he does. I have only seen him in uniform once and he was dating some other girl. But yea he was hot. lol!
This is all so new for me. I'm sure the list will grow as time goes on.
