I was talking to Danie and Erin this morning when my dad called to see if I was ok he has a police scanner in his car cause he works for the town....but this is what was going on...it's realllllllly close to my parents' house

CALDWELL -- Police fatally shot a knife-wielding suspect this morning after he lunged at officers responding to 911 calls of a woman screaming, authorities said.
Caldwell police were called to (address) at 8:45 a.m., where a 34-year-old woman was found on the kitchen floor with stab wounds, said Thomas McTigue, an assistant Essex County prosecutor. She was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital and died while in surgery at 10:43 a.m., McTigue said.
Once at the home, police sheltered the woman on the floor and encountered a 37-year-old male with a knife, authorities said.
The suspect barricaded himself in a bedroom, officials said. After about 30 minutes of negotiations, he lunged toward the police officers with a knife and was shot twice and killed, authorities said.
"It appears to be a domestic violence situation, but that's supposition at this point," McTigue said.
The names of the deceased have not been released pending notification of families.
