Ball dresses...

Okay so we will be having our next ball in May I think and I wanted to get a head start on looking for a dress so I'm not rushed when the time comes. The problem is everywhere I look it's like I've seen the same dresses over and over again for the last 3 years. I looked at David's Bridal, same stuff there, I looked at Macy's and the same thing. Anyone else know of any place that I can look and find a really cute cocktail dress that's a little different and cute and fun?!

Ann Taylor has a new line of dresses called 'celebration' that has some really cute dresses! I have never gotten one from there but they are really pretty.

Try JCrew, Banana Republic, Express, White House Black Market, Gap.... they all have cute cocktail dresses!!

What kind of dress are you looking for? It is sometimes hard to find one you really fall in love with so keep looking!! I am trying to think where else you can look.... :chinscratch:

What I'm looking for is a cocktail dress (I think I look silly in full length gowns), dark in color, strapless, and preferably a sweetheart neckline.

It's times like these I wish I could sew!

Any bridal shop has dresses that are cute. I went to a small boutique up here and they had some really neat dresses that I'd never seen before. Christi's Bridal - in Dawsonville, GA. You should look it up online maybe they will ship it if you find one you like!

Here it is ... I loved it... the year I wore it there wasn't really anything like it out... the next year lots of dresses out like it though...

Kristi that dress is cute. You can look up Jessica McClintock online and view her dresses (which I think are cute)...most of them are short and fun!!!

i love that dress kristi!! i got a homecoming dress at group usa a few years ago.
kristen- a website is probably going to be your best bet, its just always so hard to know your exact size when you're ordering online...good luck!!
i wish i had a fancy event to go to where i could get all dressed up :)

you can get some really good and cheap dresses at charlotte russe or forever 21. and online is a good place to look too if you don't have any stores by you. alot of the time it's small, medium and large sizes so it makes it easier than like a size 4, 6, 8 whatever.


and you should do like a rush delivery, that way if it doesn't fit you have time to get another. ALSO, do rush delivery and if it doesn't get to you rushed you can always call customer service and they usually end up waiving some price lol

I have also been looking for a ball gown. I have had luck at this site before, they sound expensive at first but really aren't if you have looked at any bridal shops. They have all kinds of dresses from cocktail to Extravangant promwhere. They have great search options too, you can look by color, size, event type, dress length, etc.
