our trip to the ER

so all day rylie was coughing like this horiable hacking nose. when he got up from his nap he was burning up, i took his temp and it was 102.4, i put him in the bath to see if i could get it to go down but no luck. then i noticed that his breathing was off. so we went to the ER when we got there his temp was 102.8 so right away they gave him motren. then they put him back in one of those curtin rooms so they could obsreve him, the dr said he has croop. which i guess means that the tissues right above his vocal cords is swolen. and its cause by a virus. thats why he had a fever. so they gave him a cool breathing treatment. and a strorid shot. and now were home. hes sleeping.

but yes that was our very eventful night.

well he didnt wake me up coughing last night and its 8am and hes still sleeping so we will see how today goes

so today...his cough is so much better. he slept almost all day. when he got up he had a fever but not nearly as bad as it was. so yea. little by little hes getting better.

thats great gina. glad the little man is feeling better! lexie had that when she was a lot younger for like a week. it sucks..i know. im happy hes doing better now!

It shouldn't last a week!! We had to take M to the ER for croup back in April, and once he got the breathing treatment and steroids and stuff he was basically fine the next day. A little bit of coughing maybe for a few days, but nothing he even noticed.

I'm glad hes doing better!!

EEk. I got croop a little over a year ago! It was so funny. Its something generally only little kids get though, but i had bronchotisis really bad and it turned into croop.

Poor kid, its not something fun to have, hope hes feeling better!

we had a follow up this morning. the dr say he should be fine by the end of the week, but he wants me to keep a close eye on him cause he has had problems before due to him being a premie.

but all in all hes doing bettet
