I think I always watch the movies.. LOL I really never have time to read anymore during the school year.
For me the movies, usually, but I love to read the books too.

I'm with Regina I try to read the book before the movie cause I usually find the book better. The book allows you to fill in those little details the way you want to instead of the way the director wants to.
The Notebook - book was better
A Walk to Remember - the movie (and I don't usually feel that way!)
Twilight - the book
I could go on forever!!

Oh I so agree with all 3 of those books!!!
And yes, I am a total book reader as well.
I usually like to read the books and then see the movie. Though I thought Practical Magic (while a bad movie, was better than the book!). And I prefer most books to movies, like Angels and Demons was SO much better than the movie!

I think the books are usually better, it's very rare that I think a movie is and I can't think of any off the top of my head!
I thought the book Fireproof was much better than the movie and the movie was based on the book!!!

I def always read the book first, i agree with mere in the sense that it lets you fill in all the details a movie can leave out.
Fireproof- book was better
Twilight- book was better
True Blood- book was better
Harry Potter- this is hard, its a close tie for me,i absolutley love the movies and i feel like they really did a great job on them-but of course SOME details are left out but thats to be expected.
i could go on-but overall i typically like to read the book first :)

I think that the Twilight series was sooooo good as a book. The movie was just okay for me. New Moon looks better.

I agree! Bronson and I thought it looked lower budget then most films but it was such a good story! I love Twilight! It was kinda scary when I read them I was so emotional and I like lived my life through the book! Heheheh I am such a loser!

I read the entire book in almost one sitting (Mike was on a 24 hour shift) and I read allllll the way until they were back together and then I stopped reading...which of course was the good part but I NEEDED to get them back together before I could put the book down...and at that point I couldn't keep my eyes open any more! haha

the twilight movie was most DEF low budget. from what i heard- a big production company (im drawing a blank on it now..ugh) had the movie, but didnt think itd be a big hit so they let it go and it ended up being a very low budget film because no one thought itd be such a big hit. betcha that big production company is kicking themselves now ;)
so the next movies should be alot better as far as affects and filming,ect--they have alot more money in the budget now that twilight did so incredibly and is such a big hit. theres alot more hype.
i def noticed how low budget it was- alot of people knocked it for it but i ate it up anyways, i loved it-and saw it 3 times in theatres lol, just because i loved the book SO much, it was cool seeing it 'come alive' and of course....edward ;)
