For all you ladies with men deployed, soon to deploy,ect...these are some books i read when joey first deployed and ate em right up!

"Married to the Military" by Meredith Leyva

"Seperated by Duty, United in Love" by Shellie Vandevoorde

"Going Overboard: This misadventures of a military wife" by Sarah Smiley

"Chicken Soup for the Military Wife's Soul"

Chichen Soup books have EVERYTHING covered..lol I remember back in the day I got the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul..lol

the military wife one is a GOOD ONE! i read it when we were bf/gf still, but i still loved it

I read down range to iraq and back the other day AMAZING book on how to help with PTSD or what to look for as warning signs!

I have the chicken soup book! There is a story of a lady who is from Jay's hometown! :D

I've read some of those books, but will definitely have to check out the local library for some of the others. Thanks for posting those!

'Mrs.Lieutinant:A Sharon Gold Novel' by Phyllis Zimbler Miller --> this one is based in the Vietnam era and follows wives (cant remember if its true or not..)

'A Year of Abscense' by Jessica Redmond --> this one looks good,it caught my interest because its true stories of wives, based in Germany, in 2003, facing a deployment.



ordered these last week, and waitin for em ;)

While They're at War by Kristin Hendersen

Those books are great, but they made me depressed for a lil bit..Either read when u want a good cry, or not when they are deployed...lol

And I sooo need to get the chicken soup book...and I did not like the married to the military book that much...it was too outdated, BUT theres a revised and upated one coming out mid July.
